Had the misfortune today of having to watch my quad fly away into the blue yonder.
Standard DJI product with Naza v2...only finished the build a few days ago.
Was fairly high at the time and had problems maintaining visual contact.
Switched Tx to IOC Home position and tried to bring it in, but nothing seemed to happen....maybe had already traveled out of contact and RTH had kicked in.
Lost sight of it and in desperation turned the Tx off.
It didnt come back!
I did the compass dance prior to flying, and saw the 20 green flashes which marks the home position, and when I first took off everything seemed to be working fine.
What I reckon could have happened is that when RTH was initiated, the quad went to 20 meters as programmed....but maybe the problem was that where it was at the time ground level was prob 60-80 meters above the altitude where it took off from so that it met the ground well before the programmed altitude.
What do you guys think?
Please be gentle...I feel gutted.
