I have to agree with most, if not all, of the negative responses to the original post. I genuinely believe that there are individual people and people within organisations out there who, for many different reasons, will want to influence and effect how our small hobby 'world' operates. Something like this, even though on this occasion it was accident free, is an ideal opportunity for non-hobbyists non-invited participation. They will undoubtebly add unwanted bureaucracy and untold cost to a developing hobby that allows for perhaps only larger organisations of people (clubs, associations, etc.) and others with an excess of money in their back-pockets to be a part of. We in the UK, and I guess it will be similar in other countries, do not have to think to far back where 'big brother' has decided to become involved in other areas due to the irresposible and dangerous attitudes, behaviours, etc. of a very few people and where all that was really required was sincere and stringent self-regulation. Yes the hobby will develop bigger and better and, requiring levels of control but let it be developed through us and not through a bureaucratic third party.
