i am currently thinking about a new use for large multirotors. can anyone here give an estimation on the costs of maintainance and repairs for heavy daily use of a large multirotor?
thanks in advance.

compared to single rotor helis where you got collective pitch mechanisms multis are a piece of cake to take care of. you get a little damage to props from hitting stuff taking off and landing. Motors depending on quality get bearing issues from time to time. other than that it's pretty much make sure it stays bolted together.

Out of everything the biggest headache is lipo technology. there so sensitive to outside factors that it changes the batteries makeup with one small mistake that tends to snowball quickly and there the main consumable expense. There a fuel cost in a way

IMHO.....
Parts? cheap for the most part except for battery replacement.
Labour rate? If DIY - assess what your personal time is worth based on your experience and credentials...... R
U a professional photographer, engineer, technologist, electrician, Hobby shop owner or hobbyists trying to break even on the cost of your hobby!
Time? Initially allow for 2 to 3 times the amount of time you initially anticipate for unexpected setbacks.

tnx for the insight. i'm finding out if multirotors can be profitable as a delivery system for short distances. if the costs are even/lower then conventional delivery(car) i think it's a great possability for companies
