Hi guys,
I am a complete noob for RC stuff, and have entered into the world with a DJI Naza F450 kit, which after a slight struggle have managed to build.
I was having major problems with it and had to ask a local whizz about getting it to work. It appears that I have to have the DX6i controller set to the model as a plane, as I can't set the gear switch settings to change between attitude and manual when it's set as a heli? Is this correct?
When eventually getting the motors to prime and then taking it for a flight, it managed to take off, get about 3 foot above ground then spiralled wildly out of control before crashing! Luckily nothing broke so I had another try.. This time it got about the same height before spinning manically into the ground snapping 2 of the rotors off!!
I have ordered extra sets of rotor arms as I expect this may become a regular problem, but I'm certain that it shouldnt be this difficult to fly?
I have completely dismantled and rebuilt the thing, paying severe attention to the esc being perfectly in the same positions on the arms for balance, and still no joy.
Will having it set i plane mode be causing this problem? And if so how do I get the gear switch to work in heli mode? And is there any specific settings I may have wrong that's causing it to act like this?
I have bought the full kit from quadcopters.co.uk, and with the DX6i radio and Spektrum AR6210 receiver. The battery is centrally mounted in the top, and I have checked the rotation of the motors about 200 times to make sure I haven't made a very stupid error..
Any help greatly appreciated as this is driving me mad!!
Cheers,
Mike
