The LEDS are actually a lot brighter than they appear in the stills and I have two rows of them on each arm one oriented slightly forward and the other rearward. They are covered with a thick clear shrink wrap that picks up some of the color and helps make it a bit more visible as well as the bright green being a good contrast against all but a very leafy background and even then the brightness makes them stand out. With the CS powered up on the bench I usually have to put a towel over the arms with the LEDS as they're bright enough to not want to look at them that close up, I guess that's what happens when you run them direct off a 4S pack!

This was the first time out with the 12 x 6 props and I intentionally limited flight time to 8 minutes per pack due to the ambient temperature of about 30 degrees F. I haven't put any of the batteries on the charger yet to see how much is left in them but I expect they're down around 30 to 35% remaining. Right now I'm using Zippy 4S 8000 packs, they cost around $55 each which is a pretty good price for a battery of that size. So far they're holding up really well and given the useage I've gotten from other Zippy and Turnigy packs I see no reason to spend more on batteries, they've proven to be 100% reliable under some challenging conditions at times like getting dunked in a stream or slammed into the ground on one of my aerobatic quads.
