Hi Guys,

i based in Germany but an English speaker, I'm looking to but the F450 NAZA Set to get me going in Aerial Photography but I'm very new to this and would like to get some price advise. I've found this on Amazon which works out 346eur (£278):

http://www.amazon.de/uniqstore-HUBS...ZVNI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352968160&sr=8-1

And this from UK based quadcopters.co.uk at £302:

There's an obvious choice there for me, but is there anything i should be wary of (except the delivery time)? :nevreness:

I'd second Kloner's comments. If you buy cheap and something goes wrong, who do you contact?

I've recently bought a 550 with Naza and GPS from Geoff and he has answered any queries I have. He's very knowledgeable about all forms of multis, so

For the price difference I know which I'd go for.

dunno how to read the info on your links or how to convert your currency. but for the most part there are suggested retail prices on it all and it's all the same here amongst dealers. Some give free shipping, others give a "package price" if you inquire, but for the most part the best i've seen is 5% off here in the states

When you get it from a third party dealer and have a problem, you beg a gold dealer to help you get it fixed, some do but not all.

that list is at this link

I want to stress that I am completely impartial to any particular quad manufacturer...

My advice to you is to ensure that you have the ability to get spares easily - the inevitable will happen and if you end up waiting for spares for two weeks, it is really annoying!

I would opt for a DJI 450 or 550 with a Naza as spares are readily available in Europe. The 550 has a higher load capacity, though you could purchase the 450 and buy decent motors, such as Tigers or Torxmotors. they are both very good frames. Stay away from the DJI propellers at all cost, as for a small investment for Graupner EProps you will have a safer and reliable machine, particularly if you have a beloved camera underneath. DJI props are not recommended.

If it were me I would buy the frames and Naza and shop about for ESCs and motors.....

I have over 30 years of Heli and fixed wing flying, but only 1 year of quad experience...

Good luck

Re the F450 naza I recently purchased one from BYOD http://www.buildyourowndrone.co.uk the proprietor is a guy called Martin I found him very helpful regarding set-up and advice on my first flight, you can take a look at his videos he knows what he is talking about on AP and FPV, also quick delivery and items in stock.Hope this helps.

PS the price seems to be controlled, as all the UK authorized re-sellers charge the same price give or take a couple of pounds

Johnthorn your absolutely right. DJI govern the price here in the UK and we are all selling at the same price (or should be) it comes down to quality of service, delivery cost if any, and or RTF build rates.
