Bags for the travelling circus that is Aerial Cinematography

I finally got around to picking out my bags for traveling. Went with Cinebags DSLR smuggler (personal item) and Cinebags high roller 40 (carry on) and a AC pouch for the tools...... got my roadshow down from 6 pelicans to these two bags and 2 pelicans, one for the charger and one for the packs..... Now to try getting through tsa without a problem, yea right

Chuckling here... The Weller made me laugh. On a Key West gig and knew I needed to make a custom AV out connector. Being the wise flying chap that I am had this eventuality covered by stopping at a Radio Shack on the way and picking a battery operated soldering iron for 20 bucks, plus another 20 bucks of assorted bits and connectors etc. Feeling very smug I headed back to the hotel for a bit of welding before the gig the next day. Imagine my surprise when the bloody thing wouldn't heat ****... Thus began a race about the island trying to gather a real soldering iron...guess what,... the plugin one (and 20 bucks and another 20 bucks in asst bits) didn't work till eventually on the THIRD soldering iron with an adjustable to 25w dial (which translates to just barely friggen hot enough) and ANOTHER 40 bucks in crap... managed to get the connector barely made... Moral of the story? Pack the friggen Weller.
