It's Doug :)

I knew that, was just checking... I got online this morning to fix my error but found I was already caught.:(

The last couple days have been really high stress for me and thought processes have not been well focused. My sincerest apology.

I thought the original was the S1. Can't be giving you jet jocks anything with a lot of power. Bad enough ya'll fly with the tail wheel on the wrong end.

I was reading up on the crash today and they have pretty much confirmed it was the co-pilot that crashed it into the mountain. The voice recorder even picked up the sound of passengers screaming just before impact. Very sad.

I thought it was odd when I heard the report that a flight attendant wasn't required to replace the pilot or copilot if they leave the cockpit outside of the US.

The Europeans don't use the same regulations for maintaining a two or more person cockpit we do. Single pilot was within their practices. I'm sure that will be changing immediately.

Yea, I'm just waiting for the day they make you guys get a tailwheel endorsement, maybe with something like a Pitts S1A.:) At that point your training will be complete.

to get the endorsement we'd need to have an instructor with us to provide training. for that we'd need two seats. :)
