you want a patch for the cleanest, but the distances your talking are no where near what there made for....... the closer you are the narrower in feet that beam is, just keep it in mind. Quads and 2.4 or 5.8 are really the way to go cause of antennas if no other reason, just takes 433 rc to run 2.4 which is the best option for most areas, ch 5 or 8,,,,, work like a charm

I said sitting in the canyon flying the canyon is the worse,,,, sitting up on the ridge of the canyon flying same said canyon is the best it can be...... don't even gotta aim em down in the thing,,,,,,, the signal comes off the craft pretty easily

Oh I know, remember I've been flying with a Yagi so the beam width is super narrow compared to what this patch says it can do, 35 degrees versus 75 degrees. I just want close in range, close being 2 miles or less. I was thinking at 900mhz and 1.5mw of power it shouldn't be an issue. Honestly I keep my copter within walking distance :)
