Are you guys mostly using 2 x 12v server power supplies in series? Lots on ebay for sale. If you are good with this stuff could you post a link to a good one to use on ebay? Thanks.

Thats what most people are using- look at this site for a bit more of what's involved. Be careful because if you get it wrong, you can end up with a very dangerous setup. Easy to deal with but just be aware that you need to read up on it a bit at first.

Been reading. Watching vids. A looks like they isolate the dc ground on one unit so that if one unit shorts it won't pass ac current from one chassis to the other (if they are touching)

That same site has a bit on how to choose the right PS. Choose one that people have already converted so you know what pinouts to use in order to activate the PS. Server supplies, by their nature, have to be pretty damned reliable so work out your power requirements, figure out the pinouts and take your pick.

yea them server power supplies totally work and i love em when i'm out charging off genny's cause you can't hear them..... but, when im home getting ready to go them server power supplies are so loud it's really annoying. coolice are silent, that's what i'm gonna go after next time. There like $100 us. They have a complete cased solution that's not too bad of price
