    Tiger 900kv on f550

Pete has the 900kv version, which I think might be more suited to 3s, while those flying 4s seem to have the 800kv version. I think the 900kv version on 4s with 8" props would work, or maybe even 9" props, but ideally the 800kv version would be better. I just realized I bought the 900kv ones...

what to buy? Medium lift (1.5-2kg) for aerial photo/video

mikrokopter looks like a bit of a nightmare just to figure out what parts to buy... Bit up there in price too, looking at specs, the quad is rated for 1kg payload. Does that include lipo? Some do, some don't... given that I would probably want the hexa-xl, it lists 1500g. And you appear to be...

what to buy? Medium lift (1.5-2kg) for aerial photo/video

mainly photo, video would be a nice addition though. Any thoughts on the newer nx-4008 style flat pancake motors? Seem like they would be ideal for multi-rotors. I'm about to outfit my tricopter with them I think and see if it gets any smoother. Can you point me to Gary's gimbals?

what to buy? Medium lift (1.5-2kg) for aerial photo/video

First, a bit of background... I've been playing with multi rotors a while now, though my primary RC interest is in airplanes and a bit in traditional heli's too. I've had an XAircraft X650, and a tricopter from fpv manuals, as well as played with a gaui and rusty rev 8 quad with a Paris board...

    Batteries in the US

Gens Ace are great packs. 5c charge rated and hold their voltage quite well. I have about 15-20 of them that I use on my airplanes.

    Batteries in the US

allerc.com sells Hyperion packs that are of very good quality. They ship extremely fast as well. Hyperion packs aren't cheap, but they will last 300+ cycles. Most Turnigy packs won't come close to that, so if you factor that in, the price isn't quite so bad. amainhobbies.com is also US based...

XAircraft X650 quad with (or without) PhotoShipOne MKTR camera gimbal

SOLD - I've decided to sell my X650. Not flying it much lately and just would rather put my money back into a traditional 600 sized helicopter instead. This quad has LED lights on the two leading booms, (setup for X flying, but can do + as well). It also currently has a photoshipone MKTR mount...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Your thoughts on Arducopter

Thanks, I had seen that earlier when setting mine up, but didn't think at the time I needed more than 3 modes. I was going to go back and find it, but that saved me the trouble :)

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Your thoughts on Arducopter

latest one, must have just missed it. Figures... I would like more flight modes though, would love to be able to pick more than three. Have a 9303, must figure that out...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Your thoughts on Arducopter

Didn't realize diydrones had a forum, I've signed up, awaiting approval there. Will post there. I had my FC hard mounted using standoffs, it appears this might have been part of the problem, the vibes overwhelming the FC's accelerometers. This thread...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Your thoughts on Arducopter

Where is the best place to get support on the arducopter stuff? I got mine flying just recently as a Y3 on arducopter. Had a crash today and I think I didn't have enough control authority. Also it seemed like the 'neutral' point or level point of the accelerometers got off. It was a windy day...

XAircraft XAircraft Camera Mounts !!! In-Stock !!! XAircraft USA

I have an original X650 and wondered if it's possible to fairly easily mount the new mount to the older design? It appears that the new mount attaches to some carbon tubes that extend front and back. I don't have those, plus the battery tray has to be relocated to offset the camera since it's...
