Really sorry to hear about your trouble on the stabilizer Socratic, and also thanks rob for keeping the important files on your side. Great help! ..I'm in process of repairing my Zero-steadi-470 now. For future reference I now know that batteries don't even work one third as well as normal in...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Glad to hear you're in the air.. I had a great time in the air until mine crashed (minus 12 degrees celcius outside) when battery dies all of a sudden. Today I even ruined my video downling by faulty connecting the 6.6V battery source to the HDMI2AV converter instead of the 5V bec. This tech...

Looking greatly forward to seeing yours in the air too, and hope you won't have the mishaps I have had now. need to make a custom fix to the broken landing pad connection (the one with the extra reinforcers) The carbon parts survived, but not the plastic in the actual mid-frame. Thanks for the...

I have a 5000mAh Turnigy 5.0 rated at 30C - Yeah, it went incredibly fast. I actually have one of those buzzers, but didn't use it this time as I thought the flight controller would warn me well in time - not so. The voltage detect is at 3,7V I think - it's meant to be split on four right? I did...

Had another test-flight with cam today - Has a lot of vibration-issues, two of the motors seems a bit loose and shaky from the first ground-crash.. But it could also be flight settings. I hope Zero sells spare parts? Got some great footage though until one of my batteries just gave up extremely...

Thanks for the reply about CTRL-type Socratic! .. I can tell that after a mishap today where the Zero-steadi turned itself on the head when it was meant to lift off, I suddenly realized what my problem was: nothing electronic! ..they sent 4 x pusher props, not 2x normal + 2x pusher. I never did...

I had the standard lens on the NEX-5 making it heavy enough to be in perfect balance with the battery. Trouble is though that one of the rotors actually managed to touch the battery itself when it swung over, destroying both rotor and battery. Anyhows, I think I will try to upgrade the Ys-X6 to...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

Btw, does anyone have functional parameter settings ? .. If I hold the Zero-steadi in my hand at a bit of throttle it seems to act strangely, like late compensation, and sometimes a motor doesn't start while the others are running. So it's definitely not flying with current settings

the Ys-X6 seems to automatically asign the ATRE to the steadicam IMU - and Sbus at channel 7 works fine.. Just went out for first test-flight an hour ago, but I'm a rotor and battery shorter as they touched eachother when the multirotor overcompensated. Just waiting for spares now, and probably...

Well, started configuring my YS this morning as well. No 3G on the android device, so no map available, but I can configure it - Funny enough I was stuck for a good while as I had not noticed where the correct S-bus port was on the receiver. Now charging batteries and hopefully doing first test...

Thanks to all you guys for sharing and discussing - and great thanks to Socratic for videos! .. I'm pretty much ready to start calibrating and all that. One question; can all calibration and control be done from a PC? ..as I don't own any android or Iphones

Wondering about the same thing myself atm! wish there could be less mixed standards. Guess that XT60 cable in the package has to hold as it was intended.

Socratic: unless you got your answer already, it seems that I had to splash out about $200 extra as I did'nt know that you needed a S-bus receiver. It should work with only one servo-cable as I understand. Just received mine, haven't installed yet. Also waiting for more plugs and wires. can't...

I wrote to Zero-UAV about the problem, will share with all if I receive it soon. Why expecting a whole month before flight? At present all parts are put together, and objects placed. Going to make a wire harness next. Been reading about the YS6 setup and trying to figure it all out. It has a lot...

    Zero UAV UAV Zero Steadi470

I have the same problem. Started out by connecting the receiver to the "aileron-elevator.." and so on connections until I found out the steadi-IMU uses those ports. Are we supposed to use the Channels 5-8 for Rx? I see no other way

Hello guys! My first post here ever. Just wanted to add that I'm also putting a Zero-stead470 together at the moment. Great great help reading your experiences as there is so little reference. Will share my discoveries too. Just wore down some of the plastic as I added the re-inforcement for...
