Last night I got the roll axis assigned to a channel and make it tweakable via my Taranis. Testing out in the field today. I'll just bring a bubble level with me and check the gimbal before flight.

Ok I had it level in the shop. Outside its fairly cold, probably the 30's. Roll was off quite a bit. Definitely temperature related. I'll be looking into setting up a roll trim knob. Thanks Hexcrafter.

My SX/hexa would NOT work when I supplied power to the SX from a BEC. It HAD to be hooked up directly from the 6S power. I messed with it for a long time and Drew told me to hook up the power directly.

I ended up having to tweak my endpoints and center point on my taranis quite a bit to get it right. 15 pound 960 hex.

I almost never use the G knob. 1.2 is nailed for me I suppose. When I change the G knob it seems to get squirly.

Their suggested starting point is 1.0, but with the size/weight/props/motors on my hexa, 1.2 is the ticket for MY setup. Yours may be different.

While I can't say that G value of X equals a gui value of X, my interpretation has always been: 1. Work to make the GUI value the best overall number for basic flight. For me that's 1.2. Flies well in calm or wind. 2. Once #1 is done, G knob helps adjust for wind or changes in flight weight.

Maybe I missed it before, but what's the question you're trying to get answered?

I guess fortunately for me I'm not enough of a power user to need those questions answered. I managed to build a nice large hex and it flies!

I picked up my SX from XAircraft america and have had great service and responses. Never had to deal with China fortunately.
