FAA attempts to ban FPV Goggles

When they use words like "guidance" instead of "law" and statements like "what's expected of them" instead of "what's required from them" they kind of come across like a paper tiger don't they?

    Well...It Crashed! Tarot 650

Yeah, shut the voltage protection off, 3.6 is alright, fly until the alarm goes off and see how much mah you put back in the battery and adjust from there. Once you have an idea, set a timer on your Tx so you have a rough idea how much flight time you have left instead of waiting for a buzzer...

    Well...It Crashed! Tarot 650

Hi Dmetz, I see you're using AKE 30 amps for your esc. Did you disconnect all but one red esc wire going in to the flight controller? I see on a site selling them they state: User Note 1: When the system is installed with more than one ESC, please keep only the red one of several ESC signal...

Binding RX- Can You Use LiPo As Power To RX When Binding?

The rx power comes from the bec in your speed controller. It drops the battery voltage down to 5v, otherwise you'd fry your rx. If using dji naza, they're optos (no built in bec) the led unit acts as your bec and drops voltage down to your rx. For regular speed controllers with a built in bec...

    Tiger ESC problem

If those are the esc's you're using, they're not opto's which means each esc is going to feed 5 volts to your rx. The naza has a vu (voltage unit) that supplies the rx its 5 volts already. Do a search on disabling your esc's bec for naza (usually involves disabling the red wire from your servo...

    DJI naza wobbling

Paktazh, what version naza, 1 or 2? Who built it, good solder joints all around? Are you using stock dji opto esc's? If not, have you calibrated whatever brand of esc's are on to your transmitter? What are your gains now in naza assist? Set them to default and start by lowering everything...

Anyone else built a 250 size hi performance FPV quad?

Dialed all the attie gains down under 80 which is half what I would have them on my larger quad. I got it flying alright for my style in atti and kind of let the manual mode slide, even with the manual gains low the mini still twitches like a crak addict...

Anyone else built a 250 size hi performance FPV quad?

I got bit by the mini bug this last winter. Here's my FPV250 (the 9 buck hk special). It's flying a naza v1, I've got it dialed in alright for atti but manual still gets the jitters. It packs up into a small peli case with a dx6i, uno rec. velcro'd on and a cheap 17 dollar 5" monitor from...

    First build problems NAZA M V2 F450

Can you get your hands on a smaller 4s to test, that's a pretty big batt! None of your cells are draining faster than the rest, all balance out during charging, all reading same voltage? Did this naza ever fly on anything before? Do you still have the receipt?

    First build problems NAZA M V2 F450

Maybe try the mythical "black tape mod" on the side of the naza. Some say the naza's barometer can get messed up if the side of the naza gets hit from sunlight. I guess it's a combination of sun heating up the naza plastic housing causing the barometric reading to be wrong resulting in a naza...

    First build problems NAZA M V2 F450

Is it with the same battery every time? A solder failure would rarely show itself in such a mellow manner...

    First build problems NAZA M V2 F450

When you did your sticks calibration in naza assist, did you finish with your throttle stick in the middle and green on the screen? Is your voltage alarm in naza set up? If it is, try turning it off and see if that's it.

    Gimba pitch jitter problems...

Don't hook up the pitch through the naza, go direct to an aux channel on your receiver. Also, you should only need your signal wire and a ground wire going into the receiver, so disconnect the red wire from your servo lead. Don't know if this is the cause of your problems but just a heads up.

Portable Power for the Grand Canyon - Electrical Engineers please help!

after about the fourth day of a float trip, you're kinda ready to get bak to wifi and in-n-out burgers.

Portable Power for the Grand Canyon - Electrical Engineers please help!

you could fit an awful lot of lipos in a case smaller than it would take to haul all that around and plan your shooting accordingly. The Colorado is crowded in the summer, you're not going to be able to fly where ever and when ever it strikes you. Sounds like a fun trip though!

Pricing - Please stop cutting our own throats.

yeah and then report all the pa's who get a 5d slapped in their hands and told "aim it over there" to the ASC. I don't think anyone thought the barriers to entry in arial photography would come down so fast.
