Need Help! Altitude hold vs gps drone

When they refer to "altitdude hold", it means that it's equipped with a barometer and it will maintain a certain height but will still drift on it's horizontal plane depending on outside influences such as wind. With the Bugs 3, they don't need to state that it has altitude hold as it has GPS...

Looking for some help with my first build

To be clear, when you arm your quad the motors spin up OK and idle, but when you apply throttle they stop? Is there any odd twitching or jerking of the quad for a split second before they stop? Are you sure that all motors are spinning in the proper direction and props installed in the proper...

naza phantom 2 on exacopter f550

The Naza for the Phantom has 6 motor outputs so yes, it would be a worthwhile project. You'll probably have to play with the rates to get it to fly properly, but that's half the fun of a DIY project

Pixhawk 2.4.8 won't arm. Please help! Senior Design Project

Blinking blue LEDs indicate that the PH has no GPS lock and is disarmed. The fact that you have no GPS lock won't prevent it from arming, it should go to solid blue which indicates armed and no fix. The most common cause of inability to arm is improper throttle endpoint adjustments and not...

How to build drone using DJI Snail propulsion system

You are correct, the 2 additional wires are receiving a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal from the flight controller. Then the ESC sends a three phased PWM square wave to the motors.

Drone camera wiring (Unknown Camera )

My guess is that this is an old AIO from a toy grade quad. Black and red for power, white for video and blue for some type of camera control. But that's just a guess

    Advice needed

There will be a big learning curve to set this up as if you want waypoints, your only firmware option for the Omnibus is iNav. You're going to have to determine what GPS module you have, and it's pinout. Basically you're going to have two wires for power (3.3V or 5V depending on the model)...

    Runcam split 2

What is the purpose of this? Just asking as if this is not for a quadcopter, you will be spending a LOT of money when it may not be necessary

Possible to install Phantom firmware on Naza V2?

Sure, but why would you want to? IMO the Naza performs flawlessly as is. Additional flight modes?

    Dji Naza Multirotor V2 / spketrum dx6

Are you using Windows 10 on your PC and are you just getting a very faint green on your LED module? The problem is that DJI programs are unpublished, you need to bypass the permissions. This should fix it http://en.code-bude.net/2015/08/19/how-to-install-unsigned-drivers-in-windows-10/

Hello. Retired and Ready to go Droning

not a good idea, not just the motors but the added stress on the battery. It's just a matter of stick time, after a few dozen packs, you'll develop muscle memory and you'll have total control

    Blade Inductrix fpv +

Anything under 250 grams doesn't require licencing, the Inductrix is well under that. Writing on the props won't affect them (unless you use lead paint hahaha) but you'll break them long before they wear out!
