Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib Motor Mounts Don't Fit KDE KDE5215 XF Motors - Help!

This picture shows what I mean... Upper left is the "flat head bolt" in the non-beveled slot.

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib Motor Mounts Don't Fit KDE KDE5215 XF Motors - Help!

I agree that sheering the bolts is not going to happen but it does seem a shame to have to use the offset M3s when the M4s would have lined up perfectly. Also using 3 bevel head bolts and one flat head is not the way I want to fly either. That part is a bit perplexing for sure.

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib Motor Mounts Don't Fit KDE KDE5215 XF Motors - Help!

Here is what I am thinking this morning - I will try to find some M4s with slightly smaller diameter beveled heads so that they fit in the machined head slots in the SJ mounts. I will then re machine the slots for the bolts themselves so that the M4 threads fit through. I will also run a...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib Motor Mounts Don't Fit KDE KDE5215 XF Motors - Help!

Also, is it me or does it seem like bigger diameter bolts would be a good idea considering these motors are powerful and running 18" props.

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib Motor Mounts Don't Fit KDE KDE5215 XF Motors - Help!

Oh yeah, and one of the four slots in the mount is not even beveled to fit the M3 or M4 bolt head. Can anyone tell me what that is about? Am I supposed to use a flat head bolt on one of the sides? Why??

Aeronavics / Droidworx Skyjib Motor Mounts Don't Fit KDE KDE5215 XF Motors - Help!

OK, so does anyone know why the KDE motors don't fit the Skyjib motor mounts. Yes, the KDE M4 beveled head bolts line up perfectly through the mounts to fit with the holes on the KDEs but the diameter of the thread is too big to fit through the bolt slot in the mount and the head is too large...

    Z15-BMPCC White Screen Problem

Happy to have helped. We all need to band together and write the "missing DJI manuals" for sure. I guess that is what we are doing here. I'm looking forward to getting my Gremsy H14 gimbal up and running next week. Gonna see if I can bypass some of this DJI gear with that. Yes, when the...

    A2 No LEDs...??

OK, got 'er figured out and it is a little scary actually. Started doing the "wiggle test" on every connection. Got to wiggling the Can Bus ports on the A2 and right away the LEDs came back up and all was well. Great - I found the problem. Not great - now I have to spend the rest of my life...

    A2 No LEDs...??

Did a little test flight with my S900 today. Flight went great but when I landed I noticed the yellow light was not flashing battery warning but rather almost solid yellow with the odd flicker. Grounded the machine and brought it inside. I hadn't done the A2 update yet so I figured it was...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Proposed SkyJib X4 Build

Is this the coaxial X4XL setup? A2?? If so what are your gain settings? I have begun my build and will need to fine tune the A2 soon.

Duplex Coms - What Are People Using?

Huh... Not a bad idea. I have done this trick before in other professions and kind of forgot about it because I now own good quality radios. Trouble is they don't duplex and obviously phones do. Will try this out on the next shoot. Thanks!

Duplex Coms - What Are People Using?

We have been using Motorola radios for on set communication but they really don't work when your hands are full or if more than one person needs to talk at once. Pilots have been using duplex coms for ages and it only makes sense in a multirotor production environment. What are folks using...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Proposed SkyJib X4 Build

I am placing my order for the Gremsy this week to play with on the holidays. Probably hold on to my Z15-5D3 for a while though. Keep that on the S1000 for backup / smaller jobs / days when we need more coverage etc. In the process of ordering everything in for the Aeronavics X4XL too. Very...

Aeronavics / Droidworx need suggestions for choosing lipo batteries for my skyjib 8

Tattu had a Black Friday sale yesterday. Not sure if it is still on but they were offering 30%off. I bought 6 16000MAH 15C 6S packs for a very good price (relatively speaking...)

Aeronavics / Droidworx Proposed SkyJib X4 Build

So Aeronavics claim to be one of only 2 frame builders "certified to fly commercially" for work in the US, particularly film productions. What do people know about this? What is the other company??

Aeronavics / Droidworx Proposed SkyJib X4 Build

Sorry, for some reason I was not getting notifications on posts here. I am not too familiar with the Raven. Look nice though. Where I am the Aeronavics seems to be what people in the film industry consider to be top quality and that is where we will be working so...

Is that with an X4 coaxial configuration or a regular 8? What prop brand, size and pitch? KDE motors and ESCs? Thanks!
