    IOC Choces on DX7

I would say off/home lock. If you lose orientation then home lock can bring you home. I personally don't use manual mode except for compass calibration. I have GPS/ATTI/Failsafe on my 3 position. If I want to do compass calibration I just adjust the gains on the transmitter from memory (42% for...

    Colin Guinn Injuction Video

That's a very level-headed response from DJI. It is only 31 dealers mentioned, surely there must be hundreds in the US? This topic seems out of place on MRF. Lots of hot air and venting. That's not what we're here for. Information about getting us in the air is the primary goal. Discussing...

    General Advice and opinions please

You use FPV (first person view) to do AP (aerial photography). FPV doesn't just mean goggles, it's any video transition/receiving equipment. If you use a monitor to frame shots for AP then that's FPV. Mouthful! Any help?

    Australian CAA Permissions...

Doesn't mean you shouldn't try! Ask CASA and see what they say.

    UK CAA flight test

Great news in passing! At least you can just sit back and wait for the postman now, the hard bit is over.

    Australian CAA Permissions...

I know a very competent operator was turned down for Sydney after much effort in trying to get CASA permission. Here's their Twitter link: https://twitter.com/FlyingFern Post is a few down (January 14)

    S800 EVO Short flight times!?!?

Agreed! And how old are the lipos? Try setting your first level low voltage to 21.8, same with your alarm.

    S800 EVO Short flight times!?!?

It just sounds like your low voltage settings are too high. I use 10,000mah and get ten minutes with a similar setup. Set your low voltage really low for emergencies and use a timer to time your flights. I have my first protection at 21.8v (I think). I like my lipos to be around 3.8v per cell...

    UK CAA flight test

Did you go BNUC-S or RPQ-S? Really Angus, two months! I would have paced a hole in my carpet waiting for the postman by that time! :tennis: I waited 10 days with the RPQ-S. Naturally they have a much smaller work load as they are the new guys.

    "CFG-ERR" with Turnigy 9XR and Naza-M V2 (New Build)

You do sometimes encounter that error. As above rebind and reprogram a few times and it goes away.

    Dual camera, dual broadcast

By 1000m I assume you mean horizontally, not vertically, as that's 3280ft (where the big planes lurk!). I would advise against going higher than 400ft (122m). As Dave said, read the rules first. And remember, most of those rules that give higher limits are only valid in special places, like RC...

s800EVO with GH3 gimbal: i need a second receiver, how to fix it?

Yes, you can use many different brands. If you want to control pan and tilt connect the pan and tilt channels on the GCU to the ELEV and AIL on the receiver (if you want to control from the right stick). If you use a Futaba I think you can just connect the Aux3 channel and you have full control...

    Colin Guinn Injuction Video

Well, you did only join the forum today so it was a fair point. :02.47-tranquillity: I personally have nothing against DJI or Colin. The products are great and Colin was a great salesman, it's a shame it came to this.

    Dual camera, dual broadcast

I believe that won't allow two different video feeds. Diversity means it chooses which antenna is receiving the best reception. For two cameras you can either have two transmitters on slightly different frequencies (you can select the frequencies on most transmitters) from each camera, and have...

    naza lite failsafe

Yes, failsafe overrides the other controls. Flick the switch between atti and gps a couple of times to get out of failsafe (in flight). You need to rebind the receiver to the transmitter in failsafe mode. Turn everything off and switch on your failsafe switch on the transmitter. Put the...

s800EVO with GH3 gimbal: i need a second receiver, how to fix it?

You just plug another receiver into the Zenmuse GCU. Bingo.

    Zenmuse - Z15 repair

I went with the Zenmuse purely because it works so well. It has proven itself time and again. But I accepted that there would be no customer service and took the risk. I had hoped after flying it for a year things would have changed, but little has.
