So I think you're asking about editing videos. There's loads of software available. You can try the free GoPro software to convert videos. Microsoft movie maker is free, I used to use it and it works well enough. No idea why the file would come out dark on a USB flash drive, it is the same file...

Nice one! I took my S800 up there last year. Never again! It almost killed me hiking it to the top. And we had to have 12 observers to keep the crowds at bay. Did you press the video button and paste the link in?
