Had an awesome camera operator! I really wish I had retracts though. Keeping the skids out of shot is tricky!

Where to purchase lipos in UK?

I buy GensAce lipos from Giant Shark. Excellent lipos and good service from Giant Shark.

    Heeeelp......brand new s800 evo.....vibrations

Great that you fixed it mate! The default voltage protection does kick in a bit early so lowering it is the way to go. New lipos also suffer from an increased voltage drop in flight for the first few flights until they have been broken-in a bit, sometimes they sit on shelves for a while before...

    Training in the UK

Elliot has permission to provide training and covers many aspects, not just the flying itself. He goes through setup, pre-flight checks, site surveys and commercial operations. I can't recommend him enough. He was a teacher before becoming commercial so it was natural for him to go this route...

Some filming of Stonehenge last week. Managed a 360° continuous pan from 400ft down to 20ft in one shot. Left it in the video but it is 1:30minutes. First drone to film the monument according to the English Heritage. Had to get MoD approval for the flight also. Sorry, video removed now.

    Attaining a hover!

I'm not a fan of flattening the throttle curve personally. I like linear response in my command inputs. It's better to find the reason why you can't keep a stable hover in your setup. I use a mode 0 setup so the throttle stick reacts like the cyclic stick and self-centers.

    Attaining a hover!

Don't do it. Keep the throttle linear. Have you not got GPS? It will keep in one place easy then.

I'm bringing this thread back! Why it has been domant for so long we'll never know. Photos are still a large part of an aerial operators daily grind so let's keep posting them! So, Stonehenge... The Broadway tower... A 60 acre solar power plant... I'm sure you all have some great...

    Stick Calibration Fail

Are they green when centered? How far do they travel, like 99% (which is okay) or less?

Panasonic GH3/4 Control for Aerial Video and Photo

I trigger the recording via the main RC transmitter. The 5.8GHz is just for transmission to the ground. 2.4GHZ from ground to the air. Just use a spare channel on your receiver/transmitter. On that note, get a transmitter and receiver with lots of channels! :nevreness:

Panasonic GH3/4 Control for Aerial Video and Photo

Thanks mate! It's my real name too! Well, there's lots of ways to transmit video. I use a Zenmuse gimbal so just plug an ImmersionRC video transmitter (Vtx) straight into it, and I watch the live feed on a tripod-mounted monitor with built-in receiver (Vrx). Simples! Cool?
