So I notice it has AS150 spark proof plugs for the power supply which I believe are the same ones as on the S1000. I assume this means our lipos need AS150 plugs also? Just trying to work out the extra parts I will need.

Abnormal Compass Data just before Take Off

Hmm, odd behaviour. If it only happens when you throttle up it could be vibrations getting through to the IMU. Do you notice any shakes in the frame/arms when you throttle up? ANd as above, check your IMU/GPS position in the assistant and make sure the figures are correct (it's chinese so...

Y6 Aircraft loses altitude with any forward motion. I'm clueless!

If you've added weight then your centre of gravity has changed. Have you adjusted your CoG settings with regard to IMU and GPS positions in the assistant? I can't see any lipos in your picture above but if underneath then you have probably lowered your CoG.

    First test fly

As above. Also, M1 and M3 should spin counter clockwise. I think it is just your typing as you mention M2 and M4 as clockwise.

Wondering about Nine Eagles GALAXY VISITOR 2

Looks cheap. I doubt anyone on this forum has one to be honest.

Installed H33D gimbal and it glitches when my TX is turned on

Cool. There's no need to keep mentioning your previous gimbal, new gimbal so start over. Do you have any dual rates (end-points) programmed into your gimbal transmitter channel?

Great idea! I weigh all my stuff and stick it in a notebook so maybe we can all share our setups. I am pretty certain I'm getting an S900 as it is what I've been looking for so I'll start weighing everything, literally!

    First test fly

I don't think that is your problem. What colours was the led flashing at the time? Did you go through the transmitter calibration setup in the assistant properly?

Woohoo! :nevreness: That'll be the 55g lens which threw off my figures. So with the 200g electrics it's....6944g! Brilliant! I am currently at 6950g (S800/GH2) so I'll believe the weight when I've actually weighed everything, there's connectors and wiring which we need to add on but that's...

    Progress but still missing something

Fast yellow flashing is an error. Yellow flash every second or so is ATTI mode (which is normal since you don't have GPS). Try the assistant again and make sure you do the transmitter calibration bit carefully and everything is green.

    Show us what you shot.

There is no other way to do it except yawing the aircraft or panning the gimbal. I think people over think these bits too much rather than go out there and get results. When you're at 100m altitude you ain't gonna notice little movements.

How are you going from straight forward to down, with a 2-way switch? It you use a knob it should work.

Don't base anything on the flying weight listed on the DJI marketing stuff, just add it up yourself. Based on the stuff I know the weight of: S900 3.3kg Zenmuse gh2 1.3kg GH2 (inc battery/sd) 489g 14mm lens 55g 2 x Gensace 5000mah lipos 1.6kg Thats already 7.2kg without the electronics which...

Looks like the a similar battery tray to the S800 so two will be fine. Don't forget the weight of the electronics (FC) and camera with lens.

With 15,000mah lipos you'll never get down to under 7kg. It would be more like 6000mah to keep it under. Short flight times but you can fly in the city.

I would personally stay away from fish eye lenses. It's much easier to simulate fisheye effects in post but still have normal photos to play with. I find the images are sharpest towards the middle with my GH2 and 14mm so with some overlap you can have really sharp images, even with 16.5mb stills.

What's a steal is a new GH4 Zenmuse for £2,000 or a DJI S900 with WKM and Zenmuse GH4 for £2,500. I will be making the most of this offer!
