    CarbonCore Cortex....Owners' Thread

Sorry but with the perceived distrust on Carbon Core's part they are now off my shopping list. I would truly worry if a company held its customers hostage like they seem to do. andy

How do you mount ZenMuse GH3 on S1000?

The S1000 gimbal mount rails are suspended from the frame by rubber isolators. The ZenMuse GH3 comes with its own set of rubber isolators. So the question is, do you use both sets of isolators or mount the ZM GH3, bypassing its isolators, directly to the 4 brackets already fitted to the S1000...

Excellent service from UK supplier - Kings Lynn Model Shop

Need the S1000 as we're going 3 axis and needed something to fly at over 10,000 feet. Seemed like the most cost effective way to do both. Would really like to have built up a Droidworx X8 (see my other post) but needs must ! Do buy your's from KLMS! andy

    Where's the fun gone ?

I am the construction side of Zaxis. I don't fly, just build. Its been a wild ride from our first Mikrokopter, thru Droidworx Y6, X8, TBS Disco and their rebuilds over the past 3 years. Inventing things as I went along, servo driven home built gimbal, LED drivers and rigs and so on. Figuring out...

Excellent service from UK supplier - Kings Lynn Model Shop

Once in a while you have an experience that brings a smile to your face, I just had one. We needed a DJI S1000 for an upcoming job and they are near impossible to find 'in stock', they're all pre-sold. A sweep of UK dealers confirmed this until I talked to Kings Lynn Model Shop. They were just...

If you're taking LiPo's as cabin baggage, read this

Dave... No problems flying with LiPo's yet, the Qatar link was just to show that airlines are becoming more aware and Qatar are ahead of the game. What is worrying is the drift towards high capacity 6S batteries for the likes of the S1000 and other heavy lift stuff. I've just come off the phone...

Aeronavics / Droidworx Droidworx Y6 issue

Clock/counter clockwise is a matter of where you are looking from. What's important is that the raised leading edge is catching the air and deflecting it downwards as it rotates.

From your pic it looks like you have the props set to rotate clockwise on top and counter clockwise underneath..... the wrong way. Swap bottom props to top and vice versa. andy

Aeronavics / Droidworx Droidworx Y6 issue

Jim ... Check leading edge of props are 'biting' into the air as they rotate. On a coax the lower props are mounted so that the top of the prop is next to the motor unlike the upper props which are mounted with their top way from the motor. andy

So What You Brits up to on this wet & Windy Day

I just got out of the country, sent to the Antipodes by my company on a business trip. I'm sat here in sunny Oz, 28 deg C, blue sky, warm ocean, wonderful! Unfortunately I'm flying back to the UK today so that's the end of that. andy (Zaxis snr)

Aeronavics / Droidworx C rating on batteries option

thanks that has kinda confirmed my suspicions that the 45c were bait overkill & due to the fact that they are out of stock everywhere means my hands are tied with the 6000 25c but they will do just fine. Lec

Weather implications on commercial multi rotor operation within the UK.

Weather is indeed the biggest factor to consider for work in the UK. The real problem is its unpredictability, you cannot make a reasonable decision to go for a job more than 24hrs before the due date. You need clients who are flexible and understanding. They will rarely need to cancel a shoot...
