I dont think so, unless you are using something other then 2.4 to control your aircraft. Other wise you have a powerful TX next to your control RX. The math equation is P(TX2.4) + C(RX2.4) = All bad, bird in the dirt.

why do you think its the motor and not the FC? how hot do they feel on landing?

Can you explain this more? Are you describing dual rates and flight mode, like GPS or altitude hold? I don't see what you would need 6 pos switch for?

pretty nice, so are you using a separate altimeter sensor? Have you used other TX to compare the quality of the D-16 to say a futaba or Frsky?

there really isn't an easy answer for that, it completely depend on your location. The only real way to know is try them all out, or the real way which is to get a spectrum analyzer to see which bands have the least traffic.

+1, thanks for babysitting Bart. I like the form factor of this style of radio. And I have never gotten my futaba telemetry to play nice with my herk board. But also have been very impressed with the Frsky line of products in both quality and price. Don't think I'm switching just yet but would...
