Help with what lipos to buy

Yes, if you fly with 6200mAh 4S packs you could simply make up a parallel cable and run two of them effectively giving you a 1.24Ah pack. The main benefit being longer flight time. It will not double the flight time as the increased weight of the second battery and cable will offset the...

Help with what lipos to buy

There is an interesting thread on RCG where folks have gone through the trouble of distilling specs on various battery packs to grams per watt hour (g/Wh). Thunder Power packs have some of the best numbers with some of the Zippy's not far behind. I've been using TP for a long time on...

Mikrokopter Looking for tips on using the SD data slot

The freeware GPX viewer interface and its issues have nothing to do with windows per say. It's simply because the German developer made the defaults that way and likes them that way. Speaking of the SD card and the NC in general, lot's of new features in the v.88 release. Some news here...

How much range could you expect from 250 mw?

The 5.8Ghz stuff can work pretty well. I'm using some RC305 RX's with corresponding 200mw TX's with cloverleaf, skew wheel and turbine antennas. I've been pushing things out to over 2000' via FPV and it does start to get fuzzy but the image is still usable. Very unforgiving to any carbon or...

Boris, if I understand correctly, it is only a stabilization circuit board intended to be installed in a separate gimbal of your choice. nick

    GoPro have some serious opposition

He had the 16mm Sony prime. He also has a collection of Nikon glass and an adaptor. Could it be your particular 5n has some kind of fault?

    GoPro have some serious opposition

Some of the guys I work with are F3 owner operators. One of them uses 5n footage from run-and-gun shots intercut with F3 stuff and it looks pretty damn seamless. He even suspects it might be the same sensor as from the F3 but I'm not sure. We just shot some stuff with his 5n in a blizzard here...

    GoPro have some serious opposition

Ross, the little Sony NEX's can do 1080P @ 60 frames. Pretty compelling image from such small cameras.

    Coming soon Zenmuse gimbal

Wow, would have never gotten that one. Fascinating stuff in that link- thanks for passing it along. The history is much longer than I knew and it's incredible to see how far things have come. You guys criticizing the stabilization on that gasser are funny. Have you ever built, maintained or...

No 1080P 60 frames on the D800. Deal breaker.

    Picloc 3x setting experience etc.

I've used this one for years on conventional helis. http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/digital-servo-and-receiver-current-meter-HAN172

Man, now you got me thinking...

    Coming soon Zenmuse gimbal

Gasser helis vibrate a lot even when dialed in. It's impressive stabilization given that platform. The actual pans and tilts were abrupt garbage but that's irrelevant.

    Coming soon Zenmuse gimbal

Gotta' say that is impressive stabilization. The fact it was on a gasser says a lot.

homer, they do get hot running on 4S but I've got close to twenty hours of burn time on mine and they continue to function as new.
