    Naza M v2 Tarot FY680

There are reports that the Naza FC does not like vibrations at all hence the reason to balance the props. As for the the alignment I used a straight edge and layed it from one motor to the other to get it as level as possible. My Tarot did the exact same that yours did in the video and the 3...

    Naza M v2 Tarot FY680

I currently have I believe set for my attitude pitch and roll about 125 with the basics at 170. It took a lot of playing with I had the same thing, it would oscillate and then I would lose control and it would crash. Set in the Naza software a channel to make adjustments while flying to pitch...

    Naza M v2 Tarot FY680

So I decided to upgrade from my F450 to a Tarot FY680 with the Tarot 4006 motors with 12 in. props. I'm having slight issues, I think I know what they are but just want to see if anyone else may have a thought or 2 about it. Adjusting my gains was a pain and if I gave it too jerky of a motion it...

Smaller or bigger Quad - Newbie here :)

I have a little mini ladybird quad that fits in the palm of my hand and I've managed to break that so that's not really a good reason why it's better for beginners...Usually the smaller the quad the cheaper it is so you can learn off it. Definitely what PeteDee says is a good starting point.

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

I second Corey on this one. There is no one real answer and the best thing to do is read anything and everything. You will see mistakes someone else made on top of good choices as well and hopefully learn from someone elses mistakes :tennis: because if you are first starting you will make plenty...

    DJI F550 or Tarot FY680

I have a Naza V2 which claims it's able to support a lost motor. Redundancy redundancy redundancy is the key word here for me. For my every day job I've been taught over and over again that redundancy matters because it's not an if but it's a when it will fail that you have the backups. I figure...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

I started off with a kit from readymaderc.com so it's their "brand" screen. This part I don't know so much as well but I think as long as you get a screen that doesn't give you the "blue screen" when it loses signal you should be good.

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

I'm not an expert with FPV but with my current setup, I have a Tarot T2D gimbal with a 7in screen and not thinking about goggles just for the fact that I get a little disoriented while flying directly from the screen. The gimbal keeps it so stable which to me makes me confuse myself with my...

    DJI F550 or Tarot FY680

The reason why I'm thinking a hex is exactly what Idahobell states about it being less risky about losing a motor or ESC, I'm worried about losing a good chunk of money because of 50 dollars worth of parts failing on me. Currently I have myself an F450 with stock DJI motors, 9x4.5 APC props with...

    DJI F550 or Tarot FY680

Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out which one I would like. I'm not looking to do any crazy heavy lifting, mostly just a gimbal with a gopro on it.

    DJI F550 or Tarot FY680

So I currently have a DJI F450 with Naza M v2 with GPS. I've got a decent amount of flight time now but now I'm trying to figure out what to do next. I'm torn between multiple ideas. Started off with thinking maybe just upgrading from stock motors off my F450 but then started toying with the...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

Stock DJI motors and no landing gear. I had some more time over the weekend to play and timed to almost exactly 20 minutes before my low voltage alarm would start beeping at me. Looking for possible motor upgrades or convert to F550 now..or both :)

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

So after some first attempts at flying and issues that came along with it, I had my first flight today on my F450 and now I think I'm hooked. I have 9x4.5 APC props on it with a 5000 mah 4s LiPo and I flew for I would guesstimate about 15 minutes which at that point I was wondering how much...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

I believe its all built into board. Bartman has a video in this thread showing him adding an additional pad by sanding down sections of the board. I think top is positive and bottom is negative.

    First build problems NAZA M V2 F450

I replaced my motor and the esc and took it out again today and burnt up a motor again on the same arm with the new esc as well... it took off hovered then while hovering it looked like it lost power or something and would drop randomly. I'm going to try resoldering everything and see how it goes.

    First build problems NAZA M V2 F450

I did just that and both motors burnt out. I ordered another motor as well as an ESC. Waiting on those right now and will replace them and see if that fixes my issue.

    First build problems NAZA M V2 F450

So decided to try it out again today and see if anything changed (knew nothing changed just that mentality of hope). It took off just like all the other times perfectly fine and was able to hold a hover without an issue. Then noticed every once and a while it would stumble and I would have to...
