    Virtualdub workflow help ?

Sid, have you put a ND filter over the lens of the gopro???? As you know the gopros have a fixed aperture & the shutter speed changes, so allowing less light through will slow it down & help with the rolling shutter. Try that first & then worry about the software after. I only use premiere which...

Can someone explain what these 2 boards do?

I have flown a RC helicopter cam ship for over 2 years now, there's 1 thing I have learnt....its better to have something & not use it, rather than not having something & needing to use it! :) Having FPV would allow me to get in the drivers seat & make sure we are on track for capturing the...

Can someone explain what these 2 boards do?

Very true Mat, I cant afford to replace £3000 worth of multi due to orientation problems, but I suppose I could use FPV & the cam op can do what they want then ;) Does the MK support octo's??? & where can I read more about it thats not in German ;)

    Absolute newb from Devon, UK

The documentary is off our own back, but I have a friend who work for the BBC, she asked me just before xmas to do a shoot for them, but our old system was vibrating like hell, so I had to turn her down on that occasion. She said H264 was fine, they have a good editing suite that will take it &...

Can someone explain what these 2 boards do?

Some valid points Sid, will take that on board. The retracts allow you to have a 360 degree cam mount & swing it without the gear getting in the shot. My original trex 600 had an underslung mount, but every time my mrs moved the cam I became disorientated? I really dont want to shove £3000 in...

Can someone explain what these 2 boards do?

All I want is a basic setup at this moment in time to be honest & the new CS8 is our chosen octo. I still cant find a FC board other than hoverfly pro :( Some great input from you kind gents & some new websites that I hadnt found, thanks guys...that will keep me reading for the rest of the day...

Nice one Dave, I'm looking forward to seeing your results. We are working on a documentary that hopefully will screen on mainstream TV & the octo will be a god send as our old trex 600 ship is on its max weight limit now....nothing worse than having to rip the throttle wide open when...

My last filming with my trex 600e

Sid, its a front mounted gimbal, it was an askman underslung, but I kept losing orientation when my ASSistant swung the camera, so I converted my 600 to a front mount. I have photos of it on here in my gallery, check it out. Ross

Yes $1950 is just the frame, the retractable gear is another $400 on top.

Can someone explain what these 2 boards do?

The Full ArduPilot Mega kit does NOT support octos, only hex's...thats straight from Cindy ay DIYdrones...now I'm gutted. But I have heard from Rob at Droidworx & I've put my name down for a CS8 with retractable gear....just waiting to hear back again on motors & esc's for this new camera...
