    Pheonix sim has a quadcopter

Well Juz, I have given it 20 mins of good thrashing, quite like it even though its rolls arent very axial ;) A lot easier than my trex600, but very similar in the controls. I like the idea of taking my hands off the sticks & it doesnt try & roll over on you. I agree Kilby, a FPV view would be...

California Film Commission, just say no to sUAS

Reading RT's post, then it would seem logical if there is no law against sUAS, then for now it's lawful!

    My Newb Okto2 Build Thread

Why is everyone telling me??? I was informing CT, unless he's called Ross as well :) :) CT, you will need a high wattage soldering iron, a 40W iron will not cut it on big wires, all you end up doing is keeping the iron on for longer & transferring all your heat up the wire & melting the...

    My Newb Okto2 Build Thread

The last phot, I would do those 2 power connections again as the sleeving has melted to much & it's now a source for whiskas, they will appear & short out & I wouldnt want to see you crash! If you can get some heatshrink as well, you can slide it on, soldier the joint, then slide the heatshrink...

    Crazy interference problem

By placing your finger on the screw its adding stray capacitance, which kinda of says its an earthing problem? If it was a cheaper unit I would suggest you open the case a put a few capacitors from the ground/negative part of the PCB to the case! Ross

    Photo/Video Editing

Chuck thats a geat film, i got the message quite clearly. Loved all the memories in the frames, worked very well...in fact it came across as a commercial, I was expecting to see some airline name or bank name on the end to be honest. It's true art is an ongoing thing & we always look back at our...

CT, you could always add a few gm's of weight on the opposite motor arm if you are worried, though to be honest I think it will cope as it is. Ross

News Scoop......... seeking forgiveness rather than permission ?

Sid, There is a CAA charge of £100 plus an exam that costs between £700 & £1000 depending on which one of the 2 UK based test firms you use! Its strange how shooting for FREE means you ont need all that crap, yet charge a penny & its gonna cost you £800 - £1100!!!The CAA are NOT happy about...
