Which radio would you get for a WK-M?

I've owned four Futaba radios and every one of them had problems from minor annoyances to it died completely within days of purchase. The last one was a 10CHG, and besides feeling clunky in my hands and having a non-intuitive setup program, the throttle trim stopped worked within 3 months and...

new naza not arming motors !!

You can salvage them if there's enough meat at the hub to drill them out to 8MM, that's why they won't seat all the way down, the bottom of the shaft is 8MM. The DJI 8 inch props should work fine for now, I've flown mine on 8 inch Graupners and it worked OK, I only got 10 inch in the kit...

new naza not arming motors !!

It shouldn't matter if its level or not when plugging in the battery but it should be completely stationary and left that way for a bit to allow the gyros to initialize properly. Does it stay level when it drifts, or does it tilt in some direction and then start flying that way? Is this a...

new naza not arming motors !!

Are all your trims and subtrims centered? They need to be when you do the TX calibration, if they weren't or you aren't sure, center everything and do the calibration again and see if that helps. Ken

new naza not arming motors !!

Pete, good to see you got everyting sorted! It's not strictly necessary to be able to trigger failsafe from the TX on the Naza, it's not like the WKM where failsafe mode will make it fly back to home and autoland. As long as you can toggle between manual and ATTI mode that's what's important for...

    Mikrokopter Mikrokopter Licence

Considering that the longest distance of 1750 meters is roughly 1 mile in radius, that gives a coverage area of 2 miles diameter which is at or beyond the safe working limit of most standard radio sets. The other factor is flight time, if you generously spec the flight speed @ 30 mph it will...

Which is most stable video platform for a Hexa - Y or 6 point ?

I've flown both configs using Hoverfly, MK, and DJI, from what I've seen there isn't a whole lot of difference in stability either way. The only real arguments for one vs the other are the Y6 has true redundancy where the flat hex really does not, and the Y6 has a nice large opening with no...

WKM in the wind - Your experiences - What could be improved

Overall weight is a lot more important than many people realize with the WKM. I just moved the WKM from the Droidworx frame to the beater frame I built for the Naza to do some waypoint testing on a platform that can absorb some abuse should there be a problem. Initially I could NOT get the thing...

    Gimbal Alware

I have no direct experience with it but one thing to note is that they are not using external potentiometers with the servos, the result of that is the mount will have a limited range of motion on all axis. The degree of tilt you see in the video is the maximum you will be able to attain with...

    My first DJI Naza experience.

Th weird buzzing noise is the GoPro rattling in its case, they all do that if there's enough vibration present to shake things up. I have several of my own videos with the same noise only to a slightly lesser degree... Ken

WKM in the wind - Your experiences - What could be improved

Boris, I'll should have some very interesting videos to show in a week or so. I'm currently in the process of setting up my CineStar6 with the MK electronics stack that was on my Droidworx AD6, once I finish I'm going to do a few video passes in different conditons, then change it back to DJI...

Mikrokopter Upgrade MK Robbe ROXXY 2827-35 to 8mm shaft for Graupner props

    Flying in snow with Naza

Thursday night I threw together a bigger frame to put a Naza on, it's built out of spare bits I had hanging around. The Naza I borrowed from the small APV quad, frame is one of Rusty's Rev8 that originally was the Y6 I flew the WKM on and later the flat hex used with the same controller. Motors...

    New build AD-4 HL

I've been flying the AD6 using a pair of these, they've worked exceptionally well... http://www.hobbypartz.com/77p-sl5000-4s1p-20c-4444.html with an AV130 and Sony NEX 5N underneath I get an easy 12 plus minutes flight time, I've gone as long as 14 minutes but thats discharging a bit more than I...

    New build AD-4 HL

I just converted my Droidworx AD6 from MK to WKM and what I did was put the ESCs around the perimeter of the top frame plate with an open power distribution board mounted upside down just above them so the power wires just curve up a tiny bit and then are soldered directly to the board. The...

    Blade Quad mQX

I've been annoying the dogs flying mine in the house. I've been wanting an indoor quad that was quiet enough to fly inside and not disturb the rest of the house as well as not blow anything not tied down into the furthest corners of the room, the mQX is perfect for what I want. When I picked...

2 Axis Mount for Sony NEX 5N

If you plan on doing video stay away from the mkTR, they're ok for still work but terrible for video unless you want to reengineer the roll axis mechanics, they're also Heavy. The Hisight mounts work well for light cameras as long as you don't expect pro quality results from it. I have a Hisight...

new naza not arming motors !!

Try binding the RX to the TX again, it sounds like the Naza isn't seeing the throttle channel signal from the RX. The other possibility is that you might need to reverse the throttle channel or the LED unit is plugged into the wrong port, it has to be in X3. Ken
