I actually zoomed in to the image and figured it out. I just didnt think that there would be a need for 2 power leads going to the same box. But I guess there is a power distr. board that everything taps off of. I'm not happy about the similarity to Xaircraft on a lot of the DJI stuff...

I was slightly disappointed to see that the DJI motors that come with the RTF F450 have those XAircraft style oblong hubs. So now none of the standard props will fit without drilling them out. Why do they do this? Maybe Xaircraft is behind this all and they have a plan to piss everyone off.

Updated. I ended up with 2 frames from DJI. A great way to get started in helis/AP/FPV.

Yeah, I am the guy with the XA and i can confirm that his av130 was ultra slow in roll, pitch was ok. Mine was set at 50% gains(1-100) and it is plenty fast.

So when DJI's website says it can fly in up to 17.7 mph of wind, does that mean it will just barely have authority and not drift off? I didnt expect it to get smooth flight in that kind of wind but I would love to know that if I get a gust at 300+ feet I can at least bring her home safely.

I get my stuff for the larger hex at MontoRC as well but they dont really have the smaller motors for the F450 and the normal APC thin props or the smaller escs that Maytech makes. In the end I decided to go with the RTF F450 even though I got a free one with the WKM. SO now I have 2 Flame...

MontoRc. I got my Avrotos and Maytechs. I'm in the states. I wish I was there so I could buy from Geoff at Quadcopters but the time/shipping to get here is a bit much. Now I am trying to figure out where in the states to get the right motors/esc's for my F450/Naza. I would love to buy...

I setup my heavy lift with 2 batteries in mind but in the end I have always just used 1 5500mah batt for my hex. I get a solid 5-6 minutes which is more than enough. other than extended flight times are there any advantages? Some have sid they had a battery fail mid flight. How many on here...

I assume you know this but just in case.... all heli's have ground effect. You are really better giving it a strong jump off the ground and then backing off the throttle. If you try to take off any heli super slow they just act weird. At least this has been my experience.

Well, to reveal my top secret idea. I was planning on using an external joystick so a friend could control it for shots that were really important. One person just cant process that much info, at least I can't. Flying is a full time job.

Good info. Thanks for clarifying your disaster as I still have flightmares with your images in mind. The Avroto/maytech combo has been reliable so far. I am running all 3s batteries and would like to maintain my 12" props. But yes, please chime in on the maytechs. thanks.
