Turnigy Plush ESC's performance in wind

I'm pretty sure that has more to do with the Naza than the Turnigy esc's. I got my WKM Y6 to fly in about 15 mph and act normally but that is not going to give me any million dollar shots. The Naza is horrible in wind in atti mode. If you can tune it down and fly in manual it will fly in...

Please let us know ASAP if you have any issues powering the hdmi converter using the VTX 5v output. I was planning on doing the same with my immersion 600mw tx.

Why, if nothing else on the heli is waterproof or resistant, is it so important that this thing is sealed?

    dji wkm firmware 5.02

yeah, they changed the look of their website and probably left that out in the process. If you have a FTP site I can upload the whole thing for you. i saved it separately. Gmail has a 25mb capacity and I think it is over that.

    Graupner 14" prop reviews?

They sell them on Kopterworx site so i figured someone was using them. But that was what I thought the issue was. Sounds like multis like the smaller pitch so they dont respond so aggressively to rpm change as well.

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

I build all my own frames. try balancing. if you are breaking arms from vibration your videos are going to look like hell.

    Trouble with APC 13X6.5

Can only be 2 things. Either massive vibration or the booms are too weak to handle the thrust/vibration. most heavy lifts use much thicker arms than 16mm. My hex has 7/8" arms. lifting a av200/360 with a camera that would be appropriate for that gimbal is pushing the limits of a 2814. The...

    New product: Custom motor pliers.

As everyone knows, tightening the prop nut firmly involves grabbing the prop pretty firmly. When you have flexible props like APC's or chinese props, the prop flexes and weakens every time you handle it. If you spent an hour balancing props, these will prevent you from warping them. If you use...

    Graupner 14" prop reviews?

Seems everyone, including myself, are very happy with the 11x5's. But I never hear of anyone running the 14" props which do come in a CC and CCW pair. I would think their 14" would be more comparable to a standard 12" since E-Props tend to have very little surface area. I know a pitch of 8 is...

    Anyone tried F550 NEX-5N/7 2-Axis Gimbal....yet?

I can tell you that the DJI anything makes the WORST gimbal controller. My Xaircraft was superior in comparison and that should not be the case when speding $1200! Also, the way DJI has the assistant laid out, you have no real control of the necessary functions. You can assign end points but...

    little O/T, Zephyr ZII FPV

I've thought about getting one of these a few times but held back. I cant wait to see your results. Doesnt the carbon fiber cloth make it too rigid and not flex plus must add weight. When I had a Zagi it was just bare foam wrapped with 2mil. packing tape. nice job! Yuri

    Photohigher skyline rsgs

I just got this from Kim.... "Thanks for the update – 6.5volts is correct and will work well – just do not go above 7.2volts. The Skyline cannot take a 2S lipo pack! 7.2 is max but we strongly recommend either 6 or 6.5volts. Regards, Kimberley Attwell CEO"

    Props--- what brands work?

I just found out that Graupner makes a Left and right hand 14" prop set. Why does no one use these? The 11x5's are so popular I would think these would be great for larger helis. http://www.kopterworx.com/vmchk/props/Graupner-E-Prop-14x8-pair

    Photohigher skyline rsgs

No thanks :) but if 6 volts is all that powers the Skyline, is that all that powers the gimbal servos as well? I cant imagine for the life of me that Kim would not have planned on the gimbals running their best at this voltage if that's the voltage specified.

Xoar PJA 12" Becchwood props, group buy

I'm in for sure. but would also like to get 12x6 or 7 for lower props. if you do a group order maybe people requesting can say if they are ok with predrilled holes at 6mm so they can all be done the same on their end. Thanks Bart Yuri

yeah, I have the same voltage on my CC bec and am expecting the Skyline any week now. Would be very frustrating to have a blow out first thing. I'll email Kim right now.

X8 vs. flat octo redundancy comparison.

Got it. makes sense now. Not used to thinking this way yet as my Y6 has Graupner 11x5's top/bottom and works great.

X8 vs. flat octo redundancy comparison.

Sorry, I'm confused by why your props would be different. 4 RH top, 4 LH bottoms would be the same either way right?
