I run a 2s 2400mah which directly powers the vtx. I use the 5v output of the vtx for the hdmi converter. The 2s then powers the BEC which outputs 5v to the skyline through the pan input which also powers the servos and rx. 1 battery.

I see no reason that wouldnt work. The only thing is that you cant tell if all motors chirp since they are all doing it at the same time. But I would do it that way from now on if it was just a throttle calibration.

I can almost guarantee you you would have to re calibrate the esc's throttle if you change anything. I know this because I tried bumping my throttle trim up a few notches to get the software to show a full throttle range. But then when i plug the battery in I get non stop beeps from ALL motors...

considering tigers are the same as avrotos, quadrocopters, kopterworx, etc, they seem to have a good rep. I have them and I did get 1 bad motor out of 8 for the first time. All the others I have have been solid with no vibration issues. Cant beat AXI's form what I hear though.
