It is not like DJI at ALL. It locks the alt, or at least tries, so if you move the throttle it wont do anything. At least on my firmware. I wish they would make it like DJI where it is always active, or at least when it is active it allows constant override of throttle past a certain range...

If that's your only problem your doing great. GPS mode allows you to override its position hold so if you are flying around it might not seem much different. But if it isn't holding position then something is wrong with your GPS system. GPS mode is atti mode with position hold.

I can attest to not only how much time Bart has spent refining the XY8 but also to how well it works. Every hole has a purpose (that's what she said.) It's hands down the most punch your going to get for the size.

Just be careful when boring out the 9's to fit the dji motors as that boring can really throw the balance off easily.

I personally feel that slow flys and other similar props with such a small hub don't need to be hub balanced at all. Unlike a wood prop or apc thin that have a huge mass at the hub.

From what I understand there is no problem except the camera is not good with adjusting to light like a CCD. So if you fly into the sun it may take a second for the screen to come back. I think the latency is not an issue. Give it a shot, it wont be horrible and certainly is simpler to do...
