@holco Are u only using the usb cable and u still have the servos conected to picloc. If u do, u need to put extra supply to picloc cause the usb power is not strong enough. So unplug or give extra power when u would like to program. Good luck

Buy a DJI naza kit and u will be satisfied. Naza is like 400+80 frame+ motors + remote and controlers. Depends on the remote control how much u will pay for that but this should be under 1000 $ kit .

250 m limit is only for poi flying. Its 300m radius i think not 250 and u can use google maps and do waypoint automated flying. Othervise there is no limit except range of transmiter. I dont think u will ever fly more than 300m away from where u start. Normaly ppl with no flying experience...
