    Leaving Well Enough Alone

Yes, I'll wait. I have no use for any other new functions. Return home and poi heading etc. is in mye oppinion just nice/fun to have functions. They are not necessary to do AP work.

    Leaving Well Enough Alone

I'm still on 5.02. Working flawless for months and hundreds of flights. The only reason I consider upgrading is to have redundancy if a motor/prop fail on my hex.

    Tuning hot CCW motors

Yes, and no.. Controlling yaw with straight motors using only the torque of CW and CCW propellers also makes motors fight each other. But controlling yaw with only propeller torque difference is very little effective. So the motors have to work very hard just to make small yaw changes. I.e. CW...

    Tuning hot CCW motors

Tilt your engines! It's the only way to ensure correct yaw. If all motors are straight, even a little offset on one motor wil cause the other motors to overload. If all motors are tilted a little in yaw direction, it can yaw much easier! Like this...

    WTF... what`s wrong? bad movie...

Yes, I understand they go the right way left/right. But are they attached upside down? The text on the propellers should face upwards.

    WTF... what`s wrong? bad movie...

You need to balance your props. Are the props attached the correct way? The sound is strange. Reminds me of one time i mounted a prop upside down.

    WooKong M--White Flashes???

I have a 750mm hexa, ver.5.02. Often get white flashes. I don't really care about this.. It has been working perfect several hundred flights.

Heavy Lifters - where are we up too?

Yes, I agree that a coaxial may be a better choice in this case.

Heavy Lifters - where are we up too?

    Coaxial are less efficient.

Opening DJI 2212 motor- wire came off

It's ease to handle the clips when you know how, but it takes some practice and a good plier. There are also special tools for this job. http://www.google.no/#hl=no&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=c+clip+tool

DJI S800 Product Bulletin - ESC too high temperature

Yes, but there should never be anyone underneath a heli/multirotor in the first place! This is rule no.1 when operating professionally.

DJI S800 Product Bulletin - ESC too high temperature

I dissagree. A multirotor with redundancy is safer than a single rotor heli! Provided that you have technical and pilot skills to build, test and handle it correct.

    Firm Ware 5.08

Do you have motors tilted in their respective yaw direction? Tilting motors reduces the need for rpm change when yawing, and the FC handles yaw much easier when only small rpm changes are needed to yaw. It also eliminates problems that occur if one motor is tilted slightly wrong by mistake. I...

    DJI Wookong M beginners problem

You have to read the manual to learn things like this. Take a look at page 46. red-red-red = No GPS reception blue = no TX signal

WKM (wookong) hex motor cut out - mid flight reconfiguration to quad (safety)

DJI Naza manages this, probably Wookong too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VSJYdD-Xr0

Mounting landing gear and camera mounts

I use the bolts on the arms to mount landing gear. No drilling, just a little longer bolts so they can go through landing gear plate and into the arms.

Complete WKM crash into the water !

Ok... so no short circuit or lost power then. Was the IMU set up to shut of motors when throttle less than 10%? Was the failsafe set up, and was it set up with throttle over 10%? Have you tested your RC transmitter to se if there can be anything wrong with the throttle potmeter?

Complete WKM crash into the water !

:dejection: Ouch! Did you see if there was any power on the way down? Any lights blinking or sounds from engines?

    motor issue

Could the cause be that the IMU idle throttle is set to too low, so one of the engines stops and fails to start again because of wind resistance?
