Opening DJI 2212 motor- wire came off

I recently set-down my F550 a little too hard &
broke an arm at the motor end.
When the motor broke-off, one of the motor wires
came off of the motor..still connected to the ESC.
The other 2 wires were intact.
They were keeping the motor/arm from being separated from the rest of the craft.

Is there any way to open-up the motor & resoldering the
wire back into the motor, or am I better off just getting a new motor?

BTW, the motor is the stock DJI 2212

id vote for new motor. you can get them real easy and they arent very much. 30$ or so. over some time, i have piled up quite a few spare parts. one of my 550 is getting to where it has a bunch of flight time. those extra parts come in real handy. you might consider ordering up some spare stuff when you get a replacement arm.

BTW opening up the motor - no big deal. However, I did have quite a time getting one back together. the small c-clip (not sure of its name) under the bearings on the shaft - is quite a tedious task to get on. i spent lots of time tying to do that. maybe there is some kind of trick i am not familiar with, but it sure was frustrating.
