    almost ready to give upboth

Poor Bill, you're having a heck of a time. I admire your patience and persistence. I would have piled all that stuff up, and beat it into dust with a big hammer by now! Just kidding. But I did do that to 3 cell phones recently! Those cell phone lipos go off nice! Back to your deli-ma, grab a cup...

    GotHeliRC.com NEW Racing Propellers "CrossHobby"

That sounds like the ones I've got, but maybe under a different name. http://rctimer.com/product-1506.html They are tough! I have not broken one yet! The only problem, is they come with a 5mm hole, and no adapters, and I don't know if there are any adapters out there that would fit these props...

    almost ready to give upboth

Just guessing, but maybe the ESC's need calibrating. According to what you've posted so far, that is one thing you have not done yet, and will prevent arming. Also I'd go back to the Naza Lite, and start from scratch.

    Return of the Quad

Yup, I know we here in Florida shouldn't be complaining, but enough is enough. I'm sittin in here right now, just hooked up my new 3 axis gimble on my new Y6, and it's been raining all day, and is still. Oh well, at least we don't have to shovel snow.

Help me make sure my math is right for choosing my battery.

I tried, and didn't like Glacier batteries. They are now in my "puffy" box. But then again, I'm tough on batteries. So far I've found Lumenier brand to be pretty tough. Had terrible luck with Pulse too. I'm sure these lipo's are like riding lawnmowers. There's probably only a few companies...

    Flight Controller Suggestions?

"Just general flying with good flight time. The craziest I'll get is plotting the flight plan for auto-pilot and a 360 degree camera." PIXHAWK

    Dropped batterys

Steel ammo cans can be your friends. I leave the lids closed, but not latched. I'd try the dropped batteries, just watch them carefully when charging, and check for heat, and/or puffyness. Either one of those while charging, and I'd scrap them. I've dropped some before, but on a carpet floor, no...

Bill, I feel your pain! 66 here, and feel like 80! I've been at this for awhile, and still manage to burn things up on occasion! Naza Lite is one of the easiest flight controllers to setup, in my opinion. However, they all require everything to be just right, or as you know, no go. Try viewing...

Hi all and good to be here!

A very interesting idea, and one I've been thinking about. You know, the motors we use, can produce electricity when driven by an outside source. Say for instance, a fifth motor on a quad, mounted on the bottom, with a large prop, that would be driven by the wind from the other 4 motors, somehow...

    power distribution board

I also have 2 small wires (red & black) soldered on, for my FPV transmitter. On the other side of this board, I have the 2 power wires from the battery soldered onto the 2 strips of wire you see here.

    GoPro Class Action Lawsuit Developing

I predict there will be a whole lot more business failures, after this hula hoop type of fad has passed. Example, 3DR. I used to drool over their products, back when I first got interested in this fad, but they were too expensive for me, at the time. Now they are still in business, but trying...

    power distribution board

Uh, no, yes, no, I dunno.............. If you can connect, (good solder connection) all the ESC wires, red and black separated of course, along with one extra wire each, for the battery connection, great. But it is usually one big hunk of wires. And if you need power for anything else, like...

Fuel Cell, 2 hours, and a Go Pro

Well, it figures there will be something bigger and better, especially after I've acquired almost 8, 50 cal ammo boxes full of the "old" technology !!!!!:(

    Yuckie day, stupid question

Ha! Bart, mine did the same exact thing, except on my desk! I quickly unplugged it, blew out the flame, waited, looked, checked ??? plugged it back in, and it took off into flames AGAIN! That time, I clipped the wires. Hooked up a new ESC, and no more problems. Just one of those many weird...

    Yuckie day, stupid question

No thank you. This Miami born native doesn't get along with the cold very well! On a plus side, the cold weather here has allowed me to keep the windows open, and the dreaded "I made a boo boo stink" is leaving the area! Ha!

    Yuckie day, stupid question

OK, I'm down here in SW Florida. It's raining, cold and wet. So it's time for me to post another stupid question. I fried an ESC the other day, and even though I aired out the house yesterday, it still smells! So my question is for any electronic engineers out there. Just what is it that stinks...
