My first hover attempt resulted in a roll over. I was trying to take off too slow. Once DJI gets in the air it will stabilize. You have to spin the motors up and then "gun it" to get it airborne. Definitely check your wiring, prop rotation and IMU position.

Adjusting your gainsf (increasing them) should help for windy conditions. I test flew mine in a small room and the rotor wash generated a lot of turbulence. I increased gains and it flew stable. I readjusted my gains to 110 percent for flying on good weather days. At 110 percent the craft...

Thanks for the good info! While building my Hexa and testing the props I had two fly off. Before and after flights I check the nuts to make sure they are tight. I also use mounting tape to absorb vibration and keep the nuts from coming loose. It's a hack.

I use DJI 30a ESC with Avroto 2814/11s motors. No issues. It was plug and play. You don't have to cut the red wire on Optos.

I get intermittent white strobes on occasion. It's usually when it's windy out and or when my craft is not balanced.

I have my DJI 30a Opto ESCs on the main frame close to the center of gravity. They are partially exposed. I put them there for looks. They are exposed enough to allow air flow. Plus I've never pushed the craft to the point where the ESC were overheated.
