    Alex Mos brushless gimbal controller

I have a board from CSG Shop with my own motors, they make a nice board. (TM 4008's rewound). Looks great running on the bench. I used 2x .15 wire 70 turns. Motors are an ongoing development as there are many variations to try yet. Currently working on a hollow shaft version which I believe...

Hobby King Not safe to deal with

We all know that Hobby King don't miss a trick when it comes to low budget dirt bag dealings. But this takes the biscuit. I ordered a bunch of stuff and they sent it omitting a small mini drill set. So I informed them of the short fall and they replied after about a week and said "Take a photo...

    New lipos 12000 mah 6s

I have quite a few Maxamps and unless you want to start 3D aeros with an overweight heli. they are fine. I think from experience Hyperion and Gens ace are at least as good.

    New brushless beer gimbal

That was shot with a technique known as split screen. What you see on the left is a cropped overlay shot with the beer held on a tripod etc. the the two shots are then merged. That is why he doesn't go around it. Same technique with that Russian guy and his machine gun drone Arlene.....

    My brushless gimbal result

I have several mounts under construction with some motors that will definitely accommodate a large DSLR. One thing that you guys might want to consider when balancing your mount is that a lens hood was an essential omission from the Zenmuse standard configuration from the factory. My mounts...

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

Not Gasser but a big Vario turbine. If you want to lift some weight then one of those will do..... I am using a battery combination that give me a very safe 20 mins. I don't need more.

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

I tested the new H firmware and It was great. I also tested out an idea to stop flicker from Blade shadows that hit the front of the lens when shooting towards the sun. The idea is to keep incident light from entering the side of the lens at the front element. This simple device was made from a...

    My brushless gimbal result

You may need to go for .2 wire with those big motors.

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

I just made the 1.04 upgrade. I should be testing it tomorrow or over the weekend. A point worth mentioning. One half a turn out of tracking makes a lot of difference to the sound and the vibration with these asymmetric blades. There is more to it than just balance. If you remove the blades, as...

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

This guy seems to be able to get a Naza-H/450 hovering autonomously without any trouble.

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

Chris I too was using a Skookum at one stage, I got cold feet when I realized that the GPS was having problems with the launch date. I respect them for NOT releasing it until it has passed quality control. With these things it is one strike and you are out and hard to come back. I'm not that...

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

I would suggest getting a Sim. such as the Phoenix, you will find that the real thing is actually easier to fly than most of the small hot 3D models. I practice with a TDR which is in there. You can set it up to be gentle or pretty wild. You can also find some tricky scenery to get in and out of...

Best functioning 3 Axis Gimbal controller as of 2-6-2013

The best is of course DJI's Zenmuse if its within your budget. The technology coming out will bring all of the prices down and not everyone wants more than two axis.

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

Don't be in any hurry to go bigger, Most of my guys here say that the Logo is the best of the smaller ones.

    Naza-H and the Heli alternative

I find the larger ones a lot easier to fly and see, but the Naza-H works very well on those small machines. Even as a 3D machine you can have the best of both worlds with careful set-up. It's a game changer. When I get my Alexmos gimbal sorted, It will go on a 500 size heli. for sure. I would...
