    Multirotors Battery TIPs PART 1

Roger..... your feedback seems to make sense and is well explained. I am still learning the details on my one and only Hyperion charger and related software. Will take a closer look at the documentation and the charging/discharging results for each cell before I rush out the door to fly again.

    Wookong Woes

Nothing stands out as obvious.... What radio system are you using. I have both the NAZA and now the WKM..... WKM first flight was perfect and no trimming required. NAZA tends to have some trim drift, i.e., retrimming requirements every 2nd flight and/or bench recalibration. I am using Futaba...

DJI Datalink receiver - unrecognised device

Also it seems that DJI CD installs two drivers and then Windows also wants to install another driver when you connect the GCS transceiver to your PC. All two or three seem to be needed.

DJI Datalink receiver - unrecognised device

I had similar issues with my GCS with LK900 DataLink 900 Mhz.....Even though it is now sold with one free waypoint, you still need to acquire a new serial number or you will get a message "permission denied" when trying to link the GCS thru to the WKM. Previous to that I had two other issues: a)...

Really impressed by WooKong and Z15

Thanks for sharing...... tremendous work with excellent equipment. BTW - I just discovered today when testing DJI Ground Control Station with datalink 900Mhz that it uses Can-bus only which entirely frees up the alternate s.bus......which seems to suggest..... no s.bus conflict between WKM and...

    Multirotors Battery TIPs PART 1

Dewster..... that is an excellent question...... In my opinion, since the cells are wired in series and all the recharging energy comes through the single series circuit, there is no way for additional current or voltage to target any unbalanced cells. The purpose of the balancer is to monitor...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

Olof, Yes, I was on top of that mountain back in the late 60's!!! The peak jut's into the jetstream. Could hardly stand up because of the wind. Not the best launch site for Hang-gliding unless intentions are to get a free trip to Europe! I just got my new serial number so that I can get my DJI...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

Olof..... DJI also sells the 900Mhz and the 2.4Ghz Ground Control Station which emulates existing RC radio systems.... It is quite possible that these GCS's are able to simultaneously control your MR as well as your Zenmuse...... if not, it is just a matter of them completing the software...

    Naza and S-Bus Question.

You're welcome...... BTW.... DJI sells the 900Mhz and the 5.8Ghz Ground Control Stations which use a PC to emulate conventional RC radios systems plus all the advantages of using Google Earth, click to go and/or multiple waypoints. If they have not yet programmed it to take control of the...

    Naza and Futaba Tt setup

Glad I could help you out....... as former president Bill Clinton used to say....."I feel your pain"! Fun quickly turns to anguish when one gets lost in troubleshooting with little or no support. DJI dealers do a great job for the most part.

    Naza and Futaba Tt setup

Remote support can be difficult w/o seeing the entire setup so I am just guessing here...... In any case you also need to ensure your Naza controller has to be powered up from your flight battery(ies).... fully charged and powered from your PMU ofcourse.

    Naza and Futaba Tt setup

Naza Assistant can't know the serial number before it successfully communicates with Naza controller!

    Naza and Futaba Tt setup

This is the knid of situation that DJI want's all customers to avoid, hence their intended strong dealer support. Find your dealer and discuss. And if that becomes an issue you can escalate it to: us.support@dji-innovations.com You don't want to load a new serial number......Stick with the one...

    Naza and S-Bus Question.

Bradatech, It may not be as easy as some think, especially with the existing 8 channel receiver. But there are other solutions.... some good.....and some that can cost much more and add a lot of weight. One way to take advantage of the remaining Tx channels is this Futaba S.bus compatible 12...

    About DJI D.Bus, Futaba S.Bus and Can-Bus

Naza and WKM Assistant software will show their D.bus port connecting to the Futaba Receiver S.bus port! One would expect these bus communication protocols to be be quite diferent and not be compatible or be named the same, e.g., s.bus signifying compatibility. But in any case it works.... What...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

For what it might be worth here is a receiver that will work with your Futaba 8FG Super and allow you to use the remaining channels, i.e., 9 thru 14.....

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

Yes Chris and olaf.... that was the substitute receiver I was trying to find..... but I thought you could buy the extended 16 channel version so as to still use s.bus for the Naza and also utilize channels 9 and up since the Futaba transmitter has all 14 channels available. Here it is...

GPS signal above the Arctic Circle

None of the GPS systems for Multicopters will work above the artic circle as stated in the Naza and WKM documentation. The GPS system is constrained by the laws of Physics: a) line of site radio link to GPS satellites c) calculations for GPS location beyond the reasonable limits for trigonometry...

Single Op Radio Set up using 8FG tx and R6208SB rx, S800 and Zenmuse

I use the same Futaba radio system, i.e., T8FG Super and R6209SB receiver and am very pleased with it. Regardless how you configure it there are only a couple of ways to take advantage of the extra channel available from the Transmitter end and/or using s.bus. In it's present configuration you...
