    Super light HDMI Converter

A number of people are selling this one in different cases, beware that it's 5v and not 12v like a few others.

Aeronavics / Droidworx Brave Move for DroidWorx - Offering RTF systems

I have something new coming to the MR world that eliminates all of the major problems. It is based on APM but the one feature common to all MR's is that they rely on speeding up one set of motors and slowing down another set to induce a yaw. This is where the system starts to fall apart and it...

MultiWii / NAZE / SP Racing F3 Anyone using APM 2.5 for aerial filming?

I'm with you Ken, Stuff has moved on and the high prices no longer reflect what you get. I don't give a flying duck where it is made and I have no political alliance with any manufacturer. I want what does the job correctly and a system that is lacking in autonomous position hold capabilities...

ALEXMOS UPDATE to 2.0 - Found problems and fixes for the new software update!!

Yep the new software rocks. With my indirect drive system the Martinez would not cut the mustard but the latest alexmos has the scope to reach the right settings.

General Camera mount theory (open discussion)

None at all, It has to be well engineered with no backlash and much better than belt drives in my experience. Those gears came from servo city many years ago. they are a good gear form that can mesh tightly without any play. An old trick is to mesh them on the tight side and then run em on metal...

General Camera mount theory (open discussion)

It is some time since I was able to contribute anything to this thread but I think what I have here should be of interest to those who have a willingness to take the bull by the horns and make their own gimbal. First a little history. Before the brushless gimbal there was the servo driven gimbal...

    Naza H recommended.

Autorotation is my best failsafe. I had a rudder servo motor burn out because we were a little bit too high on the gyro gain. It was a HKS super fast HV one that was a little too fast and it was not noticed, when it stopped working it started to rotate. Just like full size, we treated that...

    Tarot IronMan 1000

I would like to see some brushless motors driving a Tarot Gimbal instead of the servos but keeping the belt drive.

I can live without RTH, rarely use anything other than manual. I wouldn't want to trust it anyway. Idle up 1 & 2 is all we use. the rest is done by the guy on the sticks. Just for a little practice the auto rotation/safety switch is about all that gets used. We have one special mode and thats...

I hung on for quite a while after seeing the latest 2.0 firmware release. So with a degree of trepidation I gave it a try today. It has the compass checker like the new Naza-M which was great. All in All I have to say well done to DJI as this product is in MHO great value for money and works...

    T-Motor MH2214 White (Phantom Upgrade)

This snazzy looking motor set from T-Motor could be interesting. Anyone tried it yet? Kv. looks a bit low for standard 8" props. Most of the current 2212/1214 size motors all seem to work best with 9 or 10" props.

    New generation brushless gimbal motors

Yes I am using these big ones. They do have enough torque for a DSLR, at least I have one working a 550D. I have found that a rewind improves things The stock BM motors seem to go for about 10 Ohms but I am using 5-6 Ohms achieved with a dual winding of .20 wire. And then I can crank up the...

    Another 3 axis brushless

I did find that the Martinez IMU was not compatible with the Alexmos so I guess you are using two imu's. Also the Martinez would not calibrate beyond about 85 deg. Interesting to see how this idea works out. Has anyone done this yet? The virtual robotix version is somewhat more sophisticated...

    Anyone using the Martinez board

Here, Looks likle they got 049 finished but I haven't tried it yet. I would start with 048. http://code.google.com/p/brushless-gimbal/downloads/list

    Anyone using the Martinez board

One thing I find a bit strange with the Martinez is that it does not like facing straight down for some reason Tried a few different ways to calibrate it, but don't seem to be able to find a way. I did also try swapping the IMU's over and it's not compatible with Alexmos.
