    Quad is gone/fly-away

One other thing that I seemed to notice recently...... the NAZA sensors can't handle as much vibration as does the WKM..... althought vibration should always be eliminated at the source. Isolation from vibration can also be an option such as via the Kyosho Zeal tape of the displaced IMU bracket...

    Quad is gone/fly-away

Sorry to hear the bad news....... In High Power Rocketry, they use single and/or dual deployment systems that release parachutes at specific altitudes in response to specific pre-conditions.... Not sure if it can be configured for your situation but here is one that I use a lot in HPR...

    HELP Flyaway

RTRyder..... Thanks for the feedback.... I will continue to work on the remaining vibration issues. Others may find this info of use as well. So far I discarded the older magnetic suspension prop balancer and replaced with a precision ball bearing type that I find to be more sensitive enabling...

    Zeal Tape on S800?

I strongly recommend it for that purpose...... at least it worked wonders today in solving my NAZA controller problems with my F550. Vibration is a killer for electronics and if you can't eliminate it entirely, then isolating the controller and/or IMU from it can work wonders.:tennis:

    HELP Flyaway

For what it is worth.... here is how I solved a major MR control problem today...... had several fly-aways over the past two weeks trying to get this issue resolved. I my case today MRForums helped me to resolve a serious two week control problem with my smaller F550 with Naza controller...

how to get rid of twitchy behavior??!!

Just more evidence that MulitForums is worth it's weight in gold for teamwork solutions to problems that even the best vendors/dealers might not be able to solve. I my case today MRForums helped me to resolve a serious two week control problem with my smaller F550 with Naza controller...

    HELP Flyaway

There are many here using Spectrum and they should be able to help. As for me.... I use Futaba but it is very possible to configure your RC Tx to make alternate NAZA or WKM controls misbehave. Pay very close attention to wrong MR behaviour while it is still safely on your work bench and...

    A Noob’s MultiRotor Objectives - Opinions?

We, the MR Pilots, do not program RC Transmitters...... it is the RC Transmitters that program our minds into a specific bias toward the one we are most familiar with. Both Spectrum and Futaba are excellent choices. But since DJI incorporates d.bus in the product line, it is clear that they...

how to get rid of twitchy behavior??!!

    1) Make sure your basic and attitude gains are optimized for easy flying in no wind before proceeding with advanced gains. 2) Take note of the default values in advanced variables and store that data for later recovery. 3) Never adjust the disturbed gain 4) Note that the top row of advanced...

Affect of long term MR frame vibration!

DO you sell this product across the US/Canada border and if so, can you ship by USParcel Service? We WILL NOT accept UPS courier shipments into Canada (long story)!

Affect of long term MR frame vibration!

Thanks Chris...... more valuable feedback from this forum as usual. I was not aware that the new Assitant and firmware could be installed on V1...... will try that, plus meticulous rebalancing, plus adhesive gel or Zeal tape etc. and report back here.:shame:

Affect of long term MR frame vibration!

Thanks........I think you have provided some valuable feedback here. Also it gives me a sense of hope that this problem can eventually be solved without struggling with the local Hobby shop and/or dealer with a product return/replacement RMA's etc.:shame:

    HELP Flyaway

Which NAZA Assistant and firmware versions are you using? What RC radio system are you using? With some additional info some here should be able to help you out. In the meantime try not to fly and if you do, pick a remote spot away from cars, property, people, trees and water.:dread: And don't...

how to get rid of twitchy behavior??!!

Those are very good motors but the thrust level might be a bit low for an 800 mm diameter Hex MR airframe IMHO...... The reason I say this is because I am using 320 watt motors on an 800 mm diameter MR airframe and have to go into WKM advanced parameters to get rid of the wobble in light...

    A Noob’s MultiRotor Objectives - Opinions?

There is a lot of hidden complexity and options offered in these MR controller systems. To get the most out of them you need a minimum of 8 channels although you might be able to get by with 7 but that is a greater configuration challenge. I suspect that it took a lot of effort by DJI to cram...

how to get rid of twitchy behavior??!!

Oops...... eyes scanned over it too quickly....... looks like an 800 mm diameter MR. But can you tell me more about the "quadracopter engines"? If they are the DJI F450 motors they are too small for the 800 dia airframe and you will get wobble. If they are Cinestar kit motors I would have to dig...

Possibility to add Waypoint to a 'normal' Wookong M?

FPV Flying is a difficult challenge due to potential radio frequency interference issues when combining a Datalink GPS system with an FPV video downlink system. On top of that your MR would also have to simultaneously use your RC radio control system. GPS GCS Datalink systems were designed to...

NAZA height drop in fast forward flight.....

On the NAZA the baro pressure port/hole is very small and located at the front or back end of the controller/imu module if I remember correctly. Unless they made a design change. However I noticed that the WKM system does not seem to have a baro pressure port/hole anywhere.....!!! Thanks for...

    NAZA is becoming dangerous!

Thanks for the feedback but if you read the complete thread you will see that I put tape on it a long time ago.

    NAZA is becoming dangerous!

Thanks for that suggestion..... I saw that type of behaviour during bench testing a few months ago but fixed before flying. I understand how easy that can happen..... but not the issue here.:shame:
