Hi Everyone! Well I am finalizing the list and have narrowed down the choices. I have much of the odds and ends but still need the props, motor, ESC. Here is my setup with some questions on some things at the end. I would certainly appreciate it if you could take a peek and see if there is...

    Micro quad as training wheels

Excellent question! I have a Blade Nano QX "Bind and Fly" that I use and love it! It has self leveling features and will also do attitude (full control/acro). I picked it up for under $70 at the local hobby store and I use it as a trainer to build my flying skills before going to the F450...

Budget camera options - not gopro

+1 for the Mobius as well. I have one that I primarily use for a dash cam when tracking my car at the raceway. Outstanding little piece of equipment and they can be had for under $70 bucks. Here is an EXTENSIVE link to them on RC groups with some pretty great footage from every type of...

What software do people use for editing aerial video?

Windows has windows movie maker and it is free. I have seen some people use Sony Vegas Pro but it is very expensive. If you are student you can get it for under $200.

    Cheers from Toronto, Canada!

Hi JJ, Welcome to the forum! Have you flown multi's before? I hadn't until just over a month or so ago. I picked up a Blade Nano QX BNF for under $70 and have been flying that around the house (still on crutches) and it really helps with understanding orientation and the flight controls. If...

Group Build 2014, DJI NAZA/F450 Quadcopter!

Happy New Year Bart!!! Excellent video and I love the tip you used for showing us how to use the power distribution board to allow for more flexibility! Another tip that was terrific for everyone on a budget is using the elastic bands around the pliers to act as a type of clamp....very slick...

Can this DJI F450 starter kit be beat?

Alaskan, That is the cheapest I have seen an ARF one with this stuff that I have come across. I elected to go a different route and am sourcing all of the parts individually. I am not familiar with the NAZA products but many folks are here on the site. Someone will chime in soon hopefully...

    F450 - Naza V2 w/GPS - I need a receiver!

Good to know....I am not familiar with the differences between DSMX and DSM2 fully so I can't really comment on it. Ill try to see just what else is out there. This is my first DIY build so I am keeping things VERY inexpensive to get started. I am not ruling the Lemon or Orange out yet though....
