Show what you filmed - Post Your Video Here

Filmed yesterday with my 680. I wasn't watching my battery voltage on the first run and barely made it back to shore.

    Motor Questions

That's typical. They do make CW and CCW shafts like you mentioned but not all manufacturers offer them. You usually see them in the higher speed motors for racing quads. You definitely want to use a "nylock" style locking nut or something to that affect. I have a hex that's the same way and have...

Wiring on DJI GPS/Compass for Naza Lite

I couldn't say for sure but it sounds like its just what you say and it was just a bad solder job.

    Dead DJI E600/800 ESC?

It sounds like you have proved its the ESC. Hard to say why it failed, doesn't necessarily mean it was anything you did. The tuned propulsion systems that DJI offers are nice because everything comes in a matched package ready to go.

Discussion Wingsland S6 Pocket Selfie Drone WiFi FPV With 4K UHD Camera Comprehensive

The write up makes it look like the greatest thing ever. No way to tell if it does what they say it does. Kind of pricey, no reviews, you go first.

    Starting my flight manual

My flight manual for the Tarot 680 is complete. 21 pages and 3700 words. I'm glad I kept up my momentum and pushed myself to get through this. Now that I have it I can use the body of it for my heavy lift although it will still be a lot of work to switch it over because of all the differences in...

    Starting my flight manual

Yep, That part only totaled about 1 and a half pages. If things go well I will never need to show my flight manual to another person, if things go badly and the FAA comes knocking I will have a pretty good manual and my bases covered, hopefully.

    Starting my flight manual

So I am up to 19 pages and 3300 words. I still have my general warnings and precautions and the maintenance section left. It hasn't been too bad so far. I didn't skimp but I didn't go full bore and include every single little thing I could think of either. A couple pages are only 1/4 full and a...

    Starting my flight manual

I found a general outline for a flight manual on the internet and am using it. Here's my table of contents page. Actually once you get going its really pretty easy. Of course I'm only at the beginning and it will get tougher as I get to the maintenance, emergency procedures etc. Once I get this...

We are looking for members opinions

Eh.. I liked the old multirotors forum better but the only real thing that changed is the look of the page. I'm slowly getting used to the new look and don't have anything negative to say. I will say the moderators seem fine and things are starting to pick up. I like hanging out here and...

    DJI F550 General

The short answer is yes you can switch, but... you will have to setup and configure your spectrum so it works properly. I had a spectrum and switched to a taranis. I never really got comfortable and had a crystal clear understanding of my spectrum. I got it to work perfectly by following you...

Discussion What "drones" do you own?

My main multirotor is a Tarot 680 with a DJI Naza M V-2 and a go pro hero 3 black and a Zenmuse gimbal. I also have a Tarot 960 that is awaiting a gimbal, it will carry a Sony Nex 7. I have a F450 that I haven't flown in a long time and a mini quad racer that I built but I'm not really into the...

Ned a kit to build that can carry 2 lbs payload

Look up F550 on youtube or flamewheel 550 Its a (hexacopter)or possibly even F450 (quad). You can go to the DJI web page and see if there are specs listed. This is one of the easier and affordable builds out there. I have seen kits go for $200 or less. The building of the multirotor will be the...

    Right Direction.....GPS connection to camera?

Look on craigslist etc for an 8 ch radio, you should be able to pick up one cheap or you can get a cheapo hobby king one but I wouldn't know what kind of quality they are. A brand new taranis is about $200 and its a good radio. I don't think you cant get GPS data tagged on photos from DJI equipment.

    DJI Mavic Pro

I was impressed with what DJI claims it can do but time will tell if it lives up to it. It looks like it has some really useful flight modes for aerial filming but I was under the impression there were no options for the camera. It was 4k but stock besides that. So if its just light camera/film...
