Inspire close up selfies gone bad

No words. OK, a few words. Whoever decided this would be a good idea should be flogged mercilessly. Just wrong on so many levels.

Advice for BEC / wiring from experienced AP/AV folk

I've used a PDB with integrated BECs and it worked ok until I realized it was spewing EMI and interfering with my UHF receiver. I'd also stick to 12v for your gimbal if it's just a GoPro.

High current melting solder on PDB

So you're running the batteries in series, right? I would strongly suspect whatever power distribution board you have. Can it handle that amount of power? Whose is it?

High current melting solder on PDB

My guess is that something in your install (wires? solder? connectors?) is introducing too much resistance, which is being manifested as heat. Lots of folks fly systems with current draws in excess of 100A. My heavy lifter routinely did this, and the temperature of its ESCs (MikroKopter BL 3.0)...

DJI Ronin M Price announced. $1399!!!

Jim Williams from the FAA was at the SUAS News Small Biz Expo this week, and spoke candidly about the NPRM and other matters. He answered a lot of questions from the audience, too. See if you can pull up the stream and watch his talk before jumping to any conclusions. His talk was super...

DJI Ronin M Price announced. $1399!!!

Why did DJI choose to label this as the "handheld" model? Is there an "airborne" model coming? Or can this one be attached to a multirotor?

I believe the Tattu staff are engaged in a Turing Test of sorts. Or an interpretive prose poetry course. It's a little entertaining.

How to Increase Flight Time in an RC Helicopter???

You should really consider having an actual English-speaking person write these messages for you. It reflects poorly on your brand to have this kind of message posted under your company name.

Pro Level X8 RTF System For Sale $4500

My personal copter has evolved over the last year or so into a reliable, stable and capable platform. But I've decided to sell it and buy an ALTA because a) I no longer have the time to maintain and experiment with it b) I need the portability of the ALTA and c) I need the space in my shop. In...

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

It's actually a well-documented issue with ordinary off-the-shelf ESCs. I'm no EE, but I believe you have do use a different set of capacitors if you have longer power supply wires. I asked Freefly about this, and they said their new ESCs are engineered from the ground up to account for this.
