KDE 465kv Recommended ESC: KDE Direct XF UAS 55A+ Multi-Rotor Series Alternate ESC: KDE Direct XF UAS 75A+ HV Multi-Rotor Series Kinda lame on KDE's part recommending the 55 for this motor at all. Drop Patrick an email, maybe they will do something for you.

If you size your esc by the KDE4215XF-465 motor specs (65+ amps) you would see that only the 75 amp escs will work with some headroom regardless of what prop, or voltage your using.

Correction, I don't agree with those temps at all. To each his own. CC protection is at 270F, and they have been making esc's a lot longer then KDE

Most likely, that esc is toast, or has been damaged. I would only use it for testing from now on.:)
