    wkm out of control

If you can't troubleshoot this issue successfully on the workbench.... remount your IMU and controller on some anti-vibration "Zeal" tape and fly it again. If the issue disappears, it was caused by MR airframe vibration.

    Income Generation

Those are very good questions that are on the mind of many here on this forum and some have been asked previously with some interesting answers...But sometimes it is like going down to the local dock to ask the fishermen where the best fishing spots are! Not likely you will get the best answer...

Selling 6 Turnigy MultiStar Pan Motors

These have been used/flown about 10 times so far on my DIY RCT800 equipped with DJI WKM-GPS...... While I am very pleased with them, I underestimated my planned AUW and have since ordered higher thrust 22 pole Turnigy Multistar pan motors to replace these. I paid $31 each plus shipping from...

I face problems in my Multi Rotor which i need to carry about 6-9 KGs with.

Voltage must increase for more powerful motors in order to ensure optimal efficiency and with that AUW you need to start off with 6S batteries. That is electrical engineering established practice which you can trust to be reliable. Using eCalc for Multicopters should help you from there.

How to test that the motors are working correctly on a DJI550 ?

I cut and pasted the following from something I saved from the internet some time ago.... Hope it helps you out..... Dry Testing" brushless motors Some of us may have run across a brushless motor that hasquestionable operation, perhaps after overheating it, or after crash damage. The...

Affect of long term MR frame vibration!

Bison.... Your feedback lead me to try the Zeal tape but I also swapped out the APC 10x5 eprops for the APC 10x4.7 slow fly props..... Now it flys perfectly like it used to...... Any remaining vibration can't get to the Naza controller now :tennis::tennis::tennis:.... I owe you a case of beer!

WKM S800 loses altitude when flying forward

Seems to me that I read somewhere that it is possible to adjust basic and attitude gains to ensure the MR does not lose or gain altitude while flying forward, sideway, backward etc. But I can' seem to locate that info now. I am guessing that the vertical gain will control this..... Am I correct...

    Auto Land??

The Fail safe function is called RTH - Return to Home but it can also be configured to land at the last recorded GPS position in case the pilot is also travelling by vehicle or boat, i.e., car chase etc. and don't want it to return to the original take-off spot. Best to have it land close to...

The future of multirotor as we know it

I think it is an excellent idea.....but..... I see that it is under CEGEP........ and it is in near Canada's capital Ottawa and inside Canada's only French province. I trust that it will be offered in both French and English. However Canada is over 3300 miles wide.... so to be fair there has to...

    MRF No Clone Zone??

So in other words the net consequence of capitalism and communism is identical..... i.e., they both exploit the individual. Bart also brings up a very good point, i.e., the Chinese fixed exchange rate makes it very difficult for other countries to recover from an economic setback.

Preventing a MR from taking off inadvertently

Using your idea now..... re: this wiring harness for my RCT800..... nearing completion......Always chose to loop the motor power cables back as you did..... makes a lot of sense.... Snowing again!!!!! Good day for building..... not so good for flying......How is your project coming along?

    Silicone Wire

I haven't tried Turnigy silicone wire specifically to my knowledge so my comments pertain to silicone insulated wire in general which I frequently use. IMHO - Silicone is super flexible over a much more extreme temperature range, will not melt when soldering and tends to be available sometimes...

    Solder Paste

I use MG Chemicals rosin flux which is a fluid not a paste when I am not convinced that the silver solder rosin core is adequate for cleaning the copper contact surface or copper wires. For thos who might not be aware of the subtle differences between electronic soldering and plumber's...

Freefly Systems - Synapse - Flight Controller

Dr. Kalman developed the Kalman filtering that was originally used with large scale acellerometers, gyros etc. back in the late 60's during the Apollo Moon missions. Those developments help made it possible for the astronauts to successfully land the LEM - Lunar Excursion Module and successfuly...

    Does This Quad Make Since?

Keep in mind that the Naza controller MR configuration options are more limited than is the WK - WooKong controller. The WK controller allows you to define the x and y distances between each of the 4 to 8 motor positions. A F550 with two arms removed will not allow the remaining four motors to...

    Does This Quad Make Since?

IMO - You can remove two arms from the F550 to make a quad and still lift a hard mounted GoPro w/o the housing and/or gimbal and landing legs..... As soon as you need to add a gimbal and landing legs you need to use all six motors/arms.....even then your flights will be short.... best to use...
