HAHA it’s all I had available for testing... I do need a smaller one and yes less expensive!

Group Build 2015, FPV Racing Quad

Don’t forget you can print a frame and race and then print tons of spare parts! I have attached a GoPro and 5.8 system.. works GREAT!

    Motors For a Hehxacopter

Yea my brain didn’t even register the OP’s experience. Good advice jwoike. I just read the “wanted results” and saw the frame and knew that was not going to work. Just the flex on that small of a frame with the weight of a DSLR and Gimbal would = unusable footage.

XAircraft XAircraft Mini X - MRF’s Got One!

I think a person who has never flown a SX will like the MX... BUT if you are a seasoned SX flyer, the MX is not the same. I’ll continue to test it as soon as I get more props... Again, don;t play the pump the throttle game in ATTi/GPS it does not seem to respond. (Then again it could be a...

    Phobotic CenterPiece Owners Thread.

So far my Yaw with a GH3/4 has never worked properly. But I was told to wait for the next firmware as well. Also my friend Andrew is coming over tomorrow, apparently he has a way to tune the YAW and get it working for the GH3/4 with the current firmware.. so I’ll report back. I honestly believe...

Tarot 680 pro build, surely they'll a lot of questions!

It shouldn’t be, but I always like to make sure the heatsyncs have air or aluminum to dispel heat. One side should be flatter than the other. The flatter side I consider the back and usually put that against carbon.

Tarot 680 pro build, surely they'll a lot of questions!

Depends on the ESC, some of the larger ones have a heatsync and you either want that facing out for cooling, or if you have a vulcan type frame with aluminum arms, you can put the sync against the aluminum to assist in cooling.

    Motors For a Hehxacopter

Tarot makes a frame that is proven.. and the size will support larger props and decent motors: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__61367__Tarot_T810_Hexa_Copter_Carbon_Kit.html

    Motors For a Hehxacopter

That frame would probably struggle with a DSLR and gimbal. The arms look to be 16mm and the max prop size is 10-13 inches. I’d be looking for something that would allow you to run 15” props and has 25mm booms. with the 10 - 13” limited prop size you will need to run lower KV motors with will...

XAircraft XAircraft Mini X - MRF’s Got One!

Well from what I can tell just today it acts differently than the SuperX. Has different behaviors, not a bad thing but it is not a SuperX.

XAircraft XAircraft Mini X - MRF’s Got One!

I think the cost indicates that it was intended for smaller/less expensive machines. Plus I want a nice GPS type FC for smaller FPV rigs...

XAircraft XAircraft Mini X - MRF’s Got One!

Got my tiny rig flying. Had some trouble tuning it, it’s a tiny 200 size mini and it seems like 1.1 on everything make it vibrate, 1.0 is too loose, tried to use the gain knob but it never felt perfect. I’m going to mess around some more.. BUT.. WEIRD THING. WITH “HEIGHT” SET TO 1, IN ATTI MODE...

    XAircraft SuperX on heavy lifter

Put a straight edge from one motor plate to the next. @kloner had a good video posted about this!

    XAircraft SuperX coaxial X8?

Have you tried lowering the gains a bit? My X8 flies great in the wind, not jerky at all.

Ultra low cost, parts list for a GoPro grade quad build

Then how would you fly FPV is your camera is stabilized? It’s possible for framing a shot, but long distance FPV through a stabilized gimbal = CRASH!

    Good Gimbal?

The Xcam gimbal is fine. And if will get jello if you do not balance your props and motors. I have this gimbal on a “long duration” quad i am using for flying in higher winds and bad weather and it’s done a fine job.

    Phantom 2 Fly Away

Sometimes if you rush into the air and do not allow the FC to completely cycle through it’s internal calibration “set up” it’s gone. And the more you fly the better the chance of this happening becomes because you become confident and forget to wait for all the lights to finalize. Not saying...

XAircraft XAircraft Mini X - MRF’s Got One!

Initial thoughts is this, this looks like a full featured FC for Mini’s. Not saying It can’t handle a bigger machine (which I do not know yet, just speculating) but from the minute size and lower price, I think this may be a GREAT solution for FPV racers and the smaller quads/hex’s. I mean...

XAircraft XAircraft Mini X - MRF’s Got One!

Hey guys, as many probably know I love my SuperX Flight Controllers. They have worked really well for me so when I noticed that XAircraft was coming out with an affordable “mini” flight control with all the same features as the SuperX I just had to have one. SO a quick argument errr, I mean...
