InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

Thanks. Agreed. The windy conditions are really putting these gimbals/controllers through their paces. Probably not fun for the pilot - but very helpful for those of us watching along at home :)

Krall: sorry if I missed it, but are you using AM or Phobotic? Stuff looks really impressive, especially considering winds etc. thanks for posting.

Yep, you are going to want to look into a good gimbal for that camera and weight. There are a couple threads here on the forum that have been discussing the most recent offerings.

    advice with building an octocopter

Unfortunately, no I would not :) There are far too many cheap gimbal sitting on work benches across the world, having been tried, tweaked and then abandoned because they just won't work right. There is no question you get what you pay for. And I would suggest doing a lot of research. Which...

I'm so jealous you're working with PB Blaster!!! I've spent untold fortunes on their products :)

    advice with building an octocopter

You're right. It is per cell. It's been a while. That looks pretty good now. Make sure you test the numbers with an actual prop, just to make sure. You can use the APC props in the program - the ones you ordered are knock-offs of them. Did you order the ESCs already? If so, make sure 20A...

    advice with building an octocopter

It looks like the battery weight is correct. Try plugging in one of the stock propellers in the size you'll be using. See if that makes any difference. Those motors just might not have enough thrust???? Your photo shows you entered 30A ESCs, but the link in last post was 20a. Make sure you get...

InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

So I guess we can assume the Phobotic uses the SPI type encoders? Media: I'm excited for you. Seems like if you had some windless day and some more tweaking, you will be in a good place. Thanks for posting.

InfinityMR Universal high performance gimbal for GH4/A7S size cameras

What type of encoders are being used on the Infinity? Figures there would have to be multiple versions that would not be compatible. Can't everyone just get along??? :)

Are encoders all different and hard to work with on your end Roee? I haven't really gotten into researching encoders and their use/application, but I didn't know they were different or controller specific.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but if budget is an issue, check out the Frsky Taranis Plus. It comes in at about $220 USD with a receiver and protective case. Great features and functions. Especially for the money.

I have no experience with the Tarot - but that price is pretty amazing. Go for it and let us know how they work out.

    FPV+AV and props adaptersadapters

Each prop needs 2 "halves" which consist of the part that bolts to the motor, and part on the prop. So this appears to be enough for just 2 props, 1 CW and 1 CCW. Check Ebay. These same adapters can be purchase for $20 for 4 prop/motors. For my hex I ordered 2 sets of 4, giving me enough to...
