It's seems to me that you are close. I would think it worth checking with all gains up .1 in software of your knob was booting it 60%. I find that if my craft is tuned and flying well, I have the knob centered at 20%, and I barely ever move it from there unless the wind is a *****. Vibes are...

It's a beta because I believe it was created by someone outside the company, no? Anyway, sounds like you're moving in the right direction. The motors being level will help tremendously. If the vibes are low - you can then focus on your motor outputs. Were they better in this last test???

    Hello from L.A.

That's the best way to ease into it - so you're already being smart about it :) Let us know how you get on with the FPV racer.

    Hello from Maryland!

Welcome to MRF Elliot. Sounds like you have the experience, and have certainly caught the bug :) What type of commercial work are you looking to do? Any luck with the exemption?

    Hello from L.A.

Welcome aboard Ezra. I think you'll find a wealth of knowledge and help here at MRF. Do you have an MR yet, or are you still in the research stages? Have fun and fly safe!

Buddy-box a Phantom student. To learn people some confidence..

Really? Have you not been to YouTube? :) The idea of people learning to fly properly is a great one, but I'm not sure you'll be able to get the DJI radios doing what you want without some serious hacking.

You are on the right path. The numbers in your trims will not translate exactly. You just need to raise it slightly to get to +20%. If you're at 6, do 3 or 4. That should be close. Then change the end points. Maybe try only -30 & +30 and see where that allows the g knob to travel to. You can't...

Right. No need for wind. :) Do it on the bench since you'll probably need to go back and forth a bit. But unfortunately still have to connect/disconnect to computer each time. I have mine set so it really only goes a bit negative, and up to about +100%. Also, watch carefully in black of to make...

Damn. Sorry you're having these weird issues. Always scary when a stable platform starts to act kooky. There must be some type of center point setting in Futaba. I set my gain knob by firing it up on the bench with props off - set it so the motors are spinning (black box recording). Turn knob...

Tundra uses a nicer telemetry piece that a tad more expensive, but I may upgrade to. But so far I've been running all the telemetry I need for less than the cost of a single Futaba telemetry module :)

Sounds good. Let us know how you make out. I'll check that wire setup when I get to the hex. Stay low! :)

What are your gains set at in the program? The gain knob shows at -40% also, so you could have been running on a low gain and it was getting bashed by the wind up high like that? I believe I left my red servo wire intact - that side is supposed to be decoupled on these ESCs. I've got it...

+1 on the Taranis. I don't think it can be beat for the functionality and cost. I'm still sitting on a Taranis Plus, haven't even messed with it yet, because my older version (with the last firmware) works great.

The G channel is the in-air tuning - so it should definitely not be moving during the flight, unless you're trying to tune. That would probably explain your changing flight characteristics. In the manual it explains how to assign the g channel to a knob for tuning.

I have KDE with superx and I didn't do a throttle calibration. I have always had a slight variation (like your old graph) between CCW and CW on every craft that ran the superx. Vibes were always low, so I never worried about it. I think the 80 second mark shows the motors trying to compensate...

I only accessed the site from the phone. I don't think it would let me upload - or rather I wouldn't know how to get log on my phone :) The program is web based - so either platform/OS should work. Something must be going on if it's not uploading.

I've had that issue with the Rx causing issues. Mostly when I turned off power to Rx, but the gimbal was still on (separate battery). I guess gimbal was looking for signal but not receiving it. Good luck!

Good job getting it down and only having broken props! That can get pretty scary. I know there is an alternate site for black box. I'll search around and see if I can find it.

I don't know that gimbal - but I believe there may be threads specific to it. But one thing for sure - if the camera "returns" then it is not balanced. The camera/gimbal should be adjusted so that the camera stays in any position you place it. This is with no power running to it. I'd also...
