WKM Nice & Easy Video Setting?

You can do both. But what you want to set your GAINS to is what ever they do to make the craft as smooth as possible. Then taylor your expo to your flying style. Personally I find flying with around 35 - 40% expo on a smooth flying machine really makes for a smooth AV machine.

    Basic Camera questions...

Ahh. Ok. well there are several companies that make a "shutter release" that you can control with a channel on your radio. This one supports up to 100 cameras: http://store.fpvbox.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=70 Then for the video, you would use the HDMI output of the camera...

    Insurance

And when dealing with these companies to add the Production Insurance, you HAVE to specify that you are flying the cameras. Many normal insurance planes that seem reasonable have a "no fly" clause. So either everyone on SET is on the same page "Fell off the jib" or make sure the insurance you...

    Insurance

There are several companies who offered different levels of insurance. Several offer liability only meaning only what your machine hits would be covered and a few offer actual rig insurance where your rig is covered. Liability insurance can run from $117 - $250 a month, and I have heard "full...

    Basic Camera questions...

Hi, Well it all depends on what you want to do. An S1000 with a NEX Zenmuse gimbal you can program the shutter release through the gimbal. Other gimbals, you would have to provide your own control. Most of us shooting video just hit record when we start the flight, that's really not a big...

naza mlite dips backwards when using yaw control

Ok, first off, your using the 4S props (8"x4.5) while running a 3S battery. You would want to run 10" x 4.5 while running a 3S battery. Also what is the total weight of your rig. I think your tuning problems could come from the fact that you had the wrong props on. Switch props and start the...

    Why coax?

I have 3 rigs with Avroto's GREAT motors. So smooth, operate cool and fall right within the listed specs. Also Jim from MontoRC is a great guy to deal with and really stands behind his product. Each one of his motors is hand tested, and boxed locally, so you are getting a GOOD motor. My...

FREEFLY Systems Freefly ALTA, RTF collapsible hexacopter

This is a huge factor. Freefly Systems know that many professionals use their gear, and when something goes down, the production must go on. I have had friends who were overnighted parts or even an entire unit to finish the work. That's HUGE when you paycheck counts on it!

    Why coax?

If you do a search there are a lot of opinions but here are the facts. 1) Coax = smaller. To run powerful motors and 18" props on a Hex it would need to be around 1150 - 1200mm And octo I think 1300mm. You can run 18" props on a 700mm Coax. Easy to transport compared to a GIANT octo. 2) Coax...

Motors: Facing Up vs. Facing Down

Not, I have seen several like this, and there is a thread where if you search for it here on MRF where a guy asked if he could run 18" props on a 700mm Hex if he ran the motors like that which would make the prop tips overlap by 1/2" but since they were 1 up 1 down, it allowed it.
