3D printed brushless Gimbals - Info exchange

It would be a number of things, such as the stability of the voltage and current provided to the motors and where that power comes from, e.g. receiver or battery for example. A receiver may be slower to respond and incapable of a burst of current necessary to carry the load efficiently versus...

Has anyone noticed the changes and new transmitter restrictions?

I wasn't aware of that but that is excellent information. Are there YouTube videos on "how-to" or is it literally as simple as removing the glue and flipping some switches. I guess what Im asking is how do you know what to set the dip switches too? Thanks!

Short flight time (what to trouble shoot?)

I have a DJI F550 clone that weights about 4-5lbs and with 2 4S 4,000mah I get about 12 minutes maximum flight time if I take it easy and there's little to no wind. I'd expect about 7 minutes with a single battery of the same type. Answer the following questions and I'll be happy to help you...

3D printed brushless Gimbals - Info exchange

How much do you want for one of those? I've been looking for something like this for a very long time and I'd be interested in it even it was only single axis. If I missed the price, sorry! I didn't see it on here! Thanks!

Excellent flying!!!! When you headed towards that green house I was yelling NO NO NO not there!!! OMG!!! LOL...that looked expensive! :) Glad you got your multi back, yeah I think I'll wait on any future firmware given my multi flys just fine! Let others try it out for a while before upgrading :) :)

Has anyone noticed the changes and new transmitter restrictions?

Has anyone noticed that most FPV websites are now restricting which transmitters they will send you? They even state that if you try to order a transmitter that is banned in your country they will swap it for the version that is legal in your country? Nothing pisses me off more, can I say that...

Dear DJI, you've got a problem

The hear the new ones are awesome, because they are strong and because they are built for higher speed motors with their lower profile design. You'll get more efficiency out of them at higher speeds and I've seen them tested to 20,000rpms for 5 minutes straight after being balanced without an...

What do you want for the new ones? I'll take them :)

Dear DJI, you've got a problem

Let us know how the Graupners work out and what changes you see. I've almost bought them a few times now but the APC props seem to be just fine. If they increase your lifting ability or flight time I'd very much like to know that :) :) :)

Dear DJI, you've got a problem

Check out YouTube, they (DJI I think) do a video of the old props versus the new props and you can see on there the different between the two of them. Compare yours to those and you should be able to determine if you have the old ones or the new ones. :)

Dear DJI, you've got a problem

If you want Graupner's you may want to look here, they look to be $28USD for 4 of them 2xCW and 2xCCW and this is the very best deal on these that I've found. I've only heard good things about them and I've never heard anything bad about them. That being said, I use Hobbyking's $2 APC props that...

Dear DJI, you've got a problem

Mark, out of curiosity where did you get this kit? Was it old stock at a Hobby store? Did the box or label happen to have a manufacture date on it? I'd be curious to know how old it was versus what I thought would come in the "new" kits which is the new props.

    Lippo Battery Advice

The key to lipo batteries is understanding that they are simply 3.3V cells in parallel so when you "charge" them they should be balanced. If you charge multiple packs at once using a balance board then always use BALANCE to charge them. If you're doing a single pack at a time you can get away...

Dear DJI, you've got a problem

Couldn't agree more and if you go with APC get the Du-Bro prop balancer. You'll need to get the APC hobbyking knock-offs if you want to go with 10" blades as APC doesn't make the counter rotating version. I actually called them and told them I was going to buy the knock off version and wanted to...

Dear DJI, you've got a problem

What testing did you do on the props before you put your spinning blade of death into the air? DJI is as responsible for their props breaking as we are for checking them before we put a 4lb+ 50mph object into the air. Their new props work, are flexible and you can stand on them. There's no...

    Lippo Battery Advice

Gotcha, didn't see the build in power supply. I prefer to NOT have a built in power supply myself but that's just me. I can always replace it whenever I want or the charger but if one fails and it's built in then you're done and you need a new charger and a new power supply or another one that...

    Lippo Battery Advice

Wow, that's really expensive for only 10A charging. I use this one and it's a 20A charger that does all that and more for almost half that. It's been working fine through many, many charges and I'm going to get a second one with a power supply so I'll have 2 of them. I can charge 4 4S x 4,000mah...

Getting into quadcopters... from BRAZIL! =D

I'm a DYI type of person and I prefer not to get RTF kits or ARF kits and to build my own so if you're asking me I'd say order the frame from Hobbyking and all the parts from Hobbyking or other websites like that. The Turnigy NTM motors seem to be fine and I've been using them for more than 12+...

Looking for a good but cheapER Y6 frame... Any advice? What's the best Y6?

Yeah, that's big plus which means if I don't like the Y6 setup I can just switch back to my hexa setup. I've seen some Hexa setups where the front arms are put back a little bit so all the arms are away from the front where the camera is and that seems to work well also. If you've seen...
